My guess is that it is Hainline from Washington St. He informed another site he was done taking visits and made up his mind. Timing lines up and he is one of the only guys worthy of a 3X Huge.

That could be the guy. I'm not sure about a 3X Huge. He sounds like a light hitting, (probably) good fielding, Shortstop. He hit 228 last year. Second best SS in Washington, as a HS Senior. If so, it would seem Herring isn't coming back (I haven't heard where he is headed yet). Herring may be the opposite (problems fielding, but a better hitter) from this guy.

Might be but Elijah Hainline is an infielder and pitching is a much bigger need. Hainline no doubt would be a good get if he doesn't get drafted. This article listing 2024 top 200 college player draft rankings has him at #153.

At this point though I think Coach Green should reserve the Yuge, Yuge, Yuge wheat woodies for high level, high potential pitchers.

#153 would put him in the Top 6-8 Rounds. He must have hitting potential, but not found his stroke yet. 228 and 1 HR isn't a great hitting resume. Question is where does he rate as a SS in that ranking?

You're looking at his 2022 Freshman stats. He hit .337 with 12 HR in 2023.
