Maybe he didn't want them that badly. If that one went to Central Arizona, do we want him? The players we already have signed, may be a bigger priority, and better than the players he could bring, so he spends his finite time, contacting those recruits. However, if that is true, it would seem he would have wanted a Past Wichita Staff member already on staff recruiting them. That is a major over simplification for the reasons listed by others above and the fact that very rarely do kids just follow a coach like that.
