I wasn't buying after the part where he signs a 10 year deal for 25 million. K state is not that stupid and no one would lock themselves in for that kind of money for that long. When WSU hired MT I asked JJ if that bothered him with MT being from ku. His response was " I don't care if they dig up Phog Allen and sit him in a chair....if he can win basketball games." Of course he may not like it getting out that he does have a sense of humor.

All has been very quiet on the Marshall front lately -- too quiet. I just don't want to wake up early next week and find out all the Frank Martin/Tubby Smith/???? rumors were smoke screen and SC has had Marshall signed for a week.

Starting to get that sense of impending doom on this front also. Beginning to think this isn't going to end well.

I am not complaining one bit, but why does it seem like Marshall isn't a serious candidate for any of these jobs? Has he told these places he won't even listen to what they have to say? Or are they scared because of demeanor? Somebody tell me why!!!

If demeanor was an issue for SC than explain the rumored interest in Frank Martin.

OK, I'm a homer, but my opinion is Gregg is not ready to move on and has made it known. He doesn't feel like he has accomplished what he wants here, and he is very competitive. He will not be satisfied until WSU wins the MVC tournament and he gets to AT LEAST the sweet 16 as a minimum. Then, and only then would he consider another position...and it would have to be a great situation for him and his family to make a move. His personality really fits in well here with the WSU fan base. Just my opinion...

IF 3G has, in fact, made a decision to stay put as you posutlate, I think the #1 reason behind that could very well be the incomeing recruiting class he has assembled and the apparent inroads he is making with his recruiting efforts in general. 3G has stated this is the best recruiting class he has been associated in all his years of coaching. He may just not be ready or willing to walk away form all that hard work.

One great thing about the internet era is that Coaches and their representatives can have a lot of correspondence with Athletic Directors via e-mail and then still be able to state to the press that they have not spoken to anyone.

Or a Coach can say I have not spoken to anyone, contacted anyone or been contacted by anyone about this job. Of course, he doesn't say what his agent(s) have been up to.

Rarely does a Coach say "Neither I or anyone representing me in any manner have made any contact with or received any contact from XYZ or any representative of XYZ in any way, shape, form or manner."
