    • They wouldn't be the first school to get the cart before the horse. And why have a press conference during the Sweet 16 weekend. Why wouldn't you wait until the beginning of the week so you had all the limelight to yourself. And besides, aren't the SC women's BB team in California for their Sweet 16 game on Saturday. Don't think their AD would want to detract from that.

      • Martin is in the middle of a contract that pays him $1.55 million per year and runs through 2015. By finishing tied for third in the Big 12 standings last season, he triggered a renegotiation clause. If a new arrangement is not met by June 1, Martin’s buyout to leave K-State would drop from $1 million to $500,000.
Stiff buyout compared to HCGM. You have to wonder what Martin's salary would be at SC, with a 1 million dollar buyout. And wonder why they would think Marshall was too expensive, unless of course Hyman, as reported, simply doesn't want Marshall....

          • Freakin' soap opera right now.

            • Not worth its own thread:

Sporting News reporting Huskers hired Colorado States Tim Miles. Miles 5-year run with CSU is over with an underwhelming record of 71-88. Let the celebration in the corn fields of Nebraska begin.

It's in the "Hot Seat" coaching thread.

You probably could have started a Coaching Changes thread. This thread has the potential of veering way off.

                            • My guess is he's already talked to them but asked USC to ask permission so it looks better.
