This stuff just won't end. Actually I like the idea of AFA joining the Valley. It would be a relatively short and very different road trip for Shocker fans.

They would stay in the MWC for football only.

Thanks. Still don't see that as a move that brings much value to the MVC or to WSU.
Does raise a question in my mind though. Is this something, once the conference realignment business has taken it's course, that we might see more of.
That is, football only conferences with teams participating in other conferences for all other sports? Or is this something just unique to Air Force's situation?

Here's our chance! One could assume with this new 22 member football conference, that the old CUSA and MW could be disbanded or add new members. Lets go form a Central Corridor conference... Wyoming, Colo St., Air Force, Creighton, WSU, Missouri St, Tulsa, SMU, Houston, and one other... maybe St. Louis. All sports except football. Looks like a real upgrade for basketball and baseball, and keeps everything somewhat centrally located. And it gets us away from Drake, ISU Blue, Evansville, and those other weak links in the east that weigh us down.

No new leagues, no auto bids
However, the valley could potentially go after say a tulsa since conf USA and Mwc will be non football leagues.
EDIT:
Noticed that CUSA commish said they would look into adding non football schools. SMU, Houston, and UCF are leaving for B-EAST and since they now have a huge football league they don't have to fill with football teams.
E. SEXTON get on the horn to the CUSA, NOW!

Just heard a report on 1410 news saying that a source close to the Missouri situation said that a move to the SEC is inevitable and imminent.
Here is an article tying the stability of the Big East to Mizzou's decision.
