  • AAC Admission Vote

If this has already been asked and answered, I apologize. What percentage of the existing members of the AAC need to approve the admission of Wichita State or any other new member? 100% of
all members? 100% of the basketball members? A simple majority?

Those are the gold tees you color blind tell all. And why not pick up a pink ball. I can lose them just as easily as a pro v 1 and I don't feel so bad about it.

        • Anyway, I talked to a guy that used to be an associate AD out at WSU about his thoughts on moving to the AAC and his reply was "I'm a Valley fan, get rid of the four worst teams and bring in some to replace them". I said that didn't work too well when we replaced cretin. He just thinks that the travel costs for all sports are really going to be tough especialy if they don't have divisional play. He said both West Virginia and cretin had asked for more revenue after their first year in their respective conference to travel and both got a big thumbs down. "You knew what you were getting into when you agreed to join" He felt that "When the cards get shuffled again that Cincinnati, Memphis and U Conn would get picked up." Still a better conference than where we are now in my opinion. I really think that when the cards get reshuffled it will be the big 12 minus 2 that will be pillaged.

I would absolutely stay in the MVC if could dump 4 teams and bring in 4 home runs. But let's be real we aren't adding Dayton, St Louis, VCU and UAB to the MVC... those were just the first off the top of my head. And if that's not who you are adding, the AAC is better

I wasn't talking to you. Nonetheless, you made my point.

              Have a good day.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

And what are the chance the Valley would dump any teams.

Is there even precedent for that? I don't think there is. I mean there's been splits (BE - AAC), and strong programs coming together in new ventures to leave their weak sisters behind in the old conferences, but I'd be curious if a conference has ever kicked out the coat-tail draggers and weaklings.

If you hit from the reds the odds of having to drop trou diminish greatly.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

When you play with pogo he plays with trou at half mast to encourage pace of play when he already knows what's coming.

I think the real problem is, the MVC head office does not see any problems with the league the way it is other than the fact that Wichita State wants out. Elgin seems quite content with the status quo. Why would he look to kick teams out when all he does is add more anchors to the league? I used to think Elgin could turn this league around, but that ship has long since sailed.

Honestly, this doesn't surprise me as coming from an "older" perspective. I promise that when talks were held to up HCGM's salary, the discussion included support for a conference change, including football support and extra travel support. The discussion was more "how much are you willing to contribute to ALL the athletic dept needs, football, new conference expenses, etc. to keep HCGM, not just to his salary."
