As enjoyable as that is to read (and it's not DONE yet) I'll tell you this.....
This is a risk for WSU. We don't know what's going to happen next. But I'm pleased we're fighting for the chance, and now taking the leap. Let's see what happens.
This is going to be tough for everyone. Lots of expenses, so folks, open up those wallets. Tougher competition, up and down the sports ladder. Probably going to be some changes in some sports in the next few years. They all need our support.
But I'm mostly happy for all those associated with men's basketball. For a decade now, they've busted their collective asses to reach the pinnacle, and frankly the lack of competition during nearly 2/3 of the season hasn't prepared them for March sufficiently.
And yet they've still succeeded. Imagine what they could do now, being battle tested in December, January and February.
And I'm thrilled for Gregg Marshall. When you work as hard as he does, when you're all in, you deserve some things to break your way. Congratulations Gregg. And to everyone else, you better get off the tracks because the train's coming through!
Go Shocks!
