On an aside, if this rumor is true, does having Wichita State in play cause other leagues to reconsider? Maybe the MWC decides to knock on the door? Bidding war?
The MW is an upgrade from the Valley, but travel and game times would really suck. The game times are late out here so the networks can run games until the wee hours to keep the gamblers happy.
Wichita State, home of the All-Americans.

    • I'm so ready to bust out of these britches.
      Deuces Valley.
      ... No really, deuces.

Considering that WSU has consistently won the all sports trophy, I don't think kicking out your best member is a good look.

        • How does any of this affect Missouri State's move to the Sun Belt?
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

            • Reading the threads on the AAC board .. Several comments about how they are worried about when Marshall leaves. I don't think they realize that Marshall would instantly be the highest paid coach in their league (Memphis and UConn a close second).

              • If WSU were to join the AAC my concern about Marshall leaving WSU would go from "GFY Valley" to 0%.

You could also probably get more students to show up!

                  • Getting in the AAC should be more than enough to get the students in and loud AF for each home game. In the event it didn't, I will assume my role as Matt Foley Motivational Speaker. Athletic Department won't have to pay me a dime. Just let me in the Roundhouse and I will light a fire under their asses.

This would be so bitchin. By far the best fit of any of the possible conference changes for us.

Koch sponsors a number of college athletic programs. They even provide sponsorship for ILLST Redbirds.

Another one, which I haven't read:

                            It's a perfect fit.

MWC pacific time is a seriously bad option for a time residing in Kansas. Next.

                              • Jon Rothstein's tweet about our potential move to AAC by far has the most likes and retweets of his tweets today. It just goes to show this University does have a great fanbase, following and brand. Not that we didn't already know that though.
