I didn't check what it would be, but I believe for that family in Louisville, most of the $900 would be wiped out with financial assistance.

And none of that gets to the point of doctors getting out of the profession because this "law" is such a pain in the neck and has tons of red tape. Doctors and hospitals will receive less money for a lot more patients and proceedures. It also means them working more hours for less pay. It also means many hospital jobs are being cut. And that's no different from the private sector which is reducing hours and cutting jobs because of this. And millions will still be uninsured.
So again, what are the positives of this?Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

I forgot to mention that Nancy Pelosi has a response for those who lose their jobs or have had their hours cut. She says it only creates an opportunity to pursue something you want to do like music, painting or writing a book...... Because we all know how well those pay the bills for most folks.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

I found the following interesting.
AMAC Supports the “Defund ObamaCare Act of 2013”
by Andrew Mangione – To date, AMAC has received over 117,000 signed petitions from members calling for ObamaCare to be defunded. It is in response to these demands that AMAC is pleased to indicate our unwavering support for H.R. 2682 and S. 1292 – the “Defund ObamaCare Act of 2013.”

Ky. probes Humana letter on insurance renewals
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The letter Ray Brundige received from Humana spelled out two options — keep his health insurance policy for one more year for a $279 monthly premium or choose a new one that complies with the Affordable Care Act and pay a whopping $619 a month.
But the letter also said he had to make a choice by Sept. 20, before the Oct. 1 start of Kentucky's health benefit exchange, a program designed to let him and other Kentuckians shop for less-expensive insurance that complies with the health care law, often called Obamacare, and possibly qualify for government subsidies to help pay for it.
State Department of Insurance officials described Brundige's letter and 6,500 like it that Humana sent to Kentucky policyholders as "misleading," and they say they are investigating the matter. State officials are also reviewing a letter by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield asking people to "call now" to lock in "today's affordable rates."

How the insurance exchanges stack up
WASHINGTON — Most Americans buying insurance from new state health exchanges will have at least two insurers to choose from, and six out of 10 people could pay less than $100 a month in premiums, a report to be released Wednesday by the Department of Health and Human Services shows.
The report analyzed insurance plans and premiums in 36 states where the federal government will either run or help run the exchanges, which are websites where state residents can shop for and buy health insurance starting Oct. 1.
In those 36 states, 95% of people will have two or more plans to choose from, while the average premium for all states and all ages will be $328, according to HHS. However, anyone who makes less than 400% of the federal poverty level, or about $94,000 for a family of four, will be eligible for a federal tax subsidy that will immediately be deducted from the cost of the insurance policy.

From everything I've been reading, the HHS quotes have been over "Bronze" packages and they're comparing that to what most people currently have which are better than that. They refuse to give apples to apples comparisons. And as pointed out, subsidizing things for people doesn't make it cheaper, it just passes on most of the costs to the taxpayers. And even doing that, the prices aren't better. This whole thing is a giant piece of **** that they're trying to force us all to eat.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

The Democrats hope they take the "cheaper" route and sign up for Obamacare (Which will destroy the insurance market) and the Republicans hope that they want to keep the healthcare that they've known, and will throw out every Democrat who signed their name to this thing.

It might turn out better than critics expect. It might even be modestly successful. But you’ll probably never know it, because the sweeping new healthcare program known as Obamacare will have a PR problem for generations. With the first big phase of the program due to begin October 1, when state-level exchanges offering healthcare insurance [...]I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
