      Actually the theater shooting.

The two people killed in a Lafayette, Louisiana, movie theater were Jillian Johnson and Mayci Breaux, Lafayette Police Chief Jim Craft said.

Pretty bad when you won the last gubernatorial election in a landslide, but now can't beat Hillary Clinton even in your own home state and in the deep south.
I don't see what you are referring to with the Hillary comment. Did he lose an election to her? Or are you misreading polls and comparing them directly?

Well, if you would have read the article I linked to, you might have clicked on this:

By the way, noticing that you were a PoliSci major explains your apparent blind spot for finance. You seem to prefer candidates who eschew fiscal responsiblity and prefer candidates who like to employ disruptive political models.

Sam Brownback (http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/17/us...cuts.html?_r=0), 'not the man we want, but the man we NEED'.
Ted Cruz (http://money.cnn.com/2013/10/16/news...act/index.html) the guy who shut down the government singlehandedly (and accomplished nothing in the process) and your first candidate.
Bobby Jindal (http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/07/us...et-vortex.html). Took a $1 billion dollar surplus and turned it into a $1.6 billion dollar deficit. The candidate you're currently supporting.

I bet if you could travel in a time machine back to 1932, you'd vote for Herbert Hoover, too.

I am still hoping we have a breakthrough candidate on the republican side, but I'm going to look for someone who can execute a fiscal plan, not someone who starts to execute a fiscal plan and then watches it blow up in their faces.

          Have a nice weekend! ;)

I skimmed through the articles looking for the reference. Thank you for posting it directly. As far as that goes, they polled a tiny number of likely cherry picked voters. It was done to force an outcome. It means nothing. I bet I could poll 1,500 on college basketball in Kansas and find ESU, Pittsburg, or Washburn as the favored basketball schools, but it doesn't mean the majority doesn't like something else entirely, like say WSU or KSU or KU. Polls largely reflect the people who conduct them and their opinion, kind of like reporters and news articles. See Will Kunkle.

I am not arguing the turnaround in Louisiana. Although I like Bobby Jindal, I favor a different candidate entirely, one I have only mentioned a couple times.

Holy crap. I don't even mean this to be mean, but that is one of the saddest statements I've ever seen in my life. You're seriously the kind of guy that tries to jump into a discussion about politics waving around a Political Science degree as a trump card? I don't even know how to respond to that without being rude.

Also, you might want to look into the definition of "conspiracy." Hint: It involves more than one person. I laugh at conspiracy theorists because they always rely on a belief that many, many people (usually the government) can work together effectively and secretly to accomplish a goal. One person having an ulterior motive is not a conspiracy theory. Everyone has a motivation behind their actions.

                Sure. And that was what?

You sure are an interesting person. I never was waving it around as a "trump card" (I see what you did there:welcoming:), I merely was using it as a quick validation. I find it humorous that it got such a rise out of you.

That's not getting a rise out of someone. That made me honestly depressed for you. I feel bad about what that statement says about you.

"I've worked in politics for X number of years" is a validation. "I have a political science degree and I wrote papers" is what a 23 year old uses right before "man" when he's fixing the world's problems over a bowl of pot after a rough night's work at Starbucks.
