I know a guy who hunts 'dogs with a 17 Harrett. .243 necked down to a 17. Ex Vietnam sniper. The twist allows him to be headshot accurate at 1000 yds. I started this thread because Trump is a joke. He's a caricature of a Presidential candidate. Jeb Bush might be more qualified than his brother, but the previous 2 Bush's don't exactly have records that another Bush can run on.
I am a bit surprised that trump and Bush are polling 1 & 2 at this point in time.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to hold my nose while throwing up a little bit in m7y moputh while voting for President in 2016.
Maybe there will be some salvation by allowing me to vote for state candidates who might be interested in representing Kansas. The current crop seems to think voting the ALEC line is their main priority.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

So I was joking before, but the comments about McCain are causing me to seriously think Trump is intentionally trolling with his campaign.
A guy with numerous medical deferments from Vietnam, who supported Obama in the 2008 Presidential election, attacked the service history of a POW and claimed he's never liked him since he lost the campaign where he supported the other guy anyway.

Missed your post. Saw the original on the .243 necked down to .17 and my head went numb. I know there are guys that spend insane amounts of money customizing rifles, but to neck down a .243 to a .17 seems crazy. I have some 45 grain 22-250 hand loads that get right about 4,200 fps. I have a 1:12 twist. I shot a few of them but aren't impressed. They tumble and aren't accurate. I think if I had a 1:14, it might be better, plus, I think they damage barrels. The handloads I use are 55gr. 3,800 fps. Too much twist can be a bad thing. Plus, you put a huge load of pressure on the barrel. We shoot most prairie dogs at 4-600 yards. Velocity is important. While Donald Trump isn't the only one that this cartoon speaks of but since he has no filter, he may have a bigger problem with this. This is why he worries me as a President. I wish leading a company is like being a leader in a democracy but it just isn't.
