I agree with the second part. As to the first part, you can’t illegally enter government buildings. That really is insurrection. It was insurrection in Seattle and Portland, and it’s insurrection in DC. And you know what, we should be more tolerant if shootings of people that illegally enter private businesses.Wichita State, home of the All-Americans.

Yah, I doubt you’ll find many officers taking selfies in the summer with people who want them dead or unemployed. Kind of a dealbreaker. :(. Speaking of that, why are so many leftists calling for the police now, when so many wanted them defunded and disbanded? Funny how that works. Again, the hypocrisy is truly incredible. This country is a worldwide embarrassment.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

In the minds of activists there are two different realities occurring simultaneously:
The right wing government is using the fascist police and capitalists to oppress and kill minorities.
The left wing government is using big tech to oppress the people and rig elections.
Both realities have isolated examples that can be pointed to, but neither is an existential threat. Still, the media propagates one as true and the other as a conspiracy.Livin the dream

Ummm... WHAT? Few things could unite this country more than a Donald Trump Tweet?
You want to unite this country? Let's turn the page on the DJT clown show. His Twitter account should have been banned 6 mos. ago.

I don't know how we get past these moments in time. Anyone that thinks Joe and Kamala are going to be great unifiers are delusional. More so than President Trump? Perhaps, I will concede that.
We need more debate. Perhaps, as a country, we could agree on a couple of things that I believe, if we do, would go a long way to settling a lot of differences.
Can we agree that at least a plurality (if not a wide majority) of liberals or Democrats in no way support the thousands of Antifa rioters and criminals that burned our cities over the summer?
Can we agree that at least a plurality (if not a wide majority) of conservatives or Republicans in no way support the hundred or so morons and criminals that illegally entered the Capitol building yesterday?
And can we agree that our Federal politicians, especially our Senators and Congressional members, are there to serve the people, and that their power and ability to use tax payer resources give them such an unfair advantage in every election is so overwhelming that they must now be curtailed with term limits?
The only people thriving today are government employees. Look no further than every GOP member that SPRINTED away from President Trump yesterday because they feared for their own personal well being.
AT MOST 4 term congress and 2 term Senators. AT MOST. That's 8 years and 12 years. You want some progressive thought? Those ideas were created when elections were tough to do. Now they aren't (relatively speaking) Career politicians are the biggest problem we have, on BOTH SIDES, Mitch is every bit the problem Chuck is.....and of course this country just elected the careerist of the career politicians to lead us.Last edited by WuDrWu; January 7, 2021, 01:33 PM.

Regarding the video I just posted, I couldn't help but think that what I was watching looked no different than what we saw over the summer in Oregon. Both riots were sparked by one man: George Floyd for the Left, and Donald Trump for the Right. Clearly I am of the opinion that both riots should have been met with suffocating police force, but the burning question ya'll ('Fever) wants me to answer is, was one more justified than the other? Of course. Even though I am on record about George Floyd and have stated that while he was treated harshly, he had a choice on how it was going to play out. Get in the car quietly and he would have been alive today. But... the protests/riots started because of a perceived injustice - it was their American right to rise up and complain. The worst parts of society took advantage of Floyd's death to have some "fun" and upgrade their entertainment systems. And the white virtue signalers did what they do *gags*.
In the Capitol attack, I think it was more a case of impressionable, simple people following their leader (that they loved and believed in). The verdict? Trump is the worst PERSON to have ever happened to American politics. Thankfully though, his official actions were wholly Conservative and his judicial appointments will be felt for decades to come. Conservatives should feel very lucky that Trump did some work for the party he ran under before the wheels came off. But we should also recognize that radical people come with radical behavior and our secret desire to watch Washington burn, might not have been such a good idea.

How many days in a row were riots happening in Portland and DC by the same rioters night after night?

Some interesting tidbits that I gleaned off CNBC last night was that many of Trump's inner cabinet were ready to invoke article 25. It was close. But after Trump was allowed back on Twitter (stupid move, but you know they did it for traffic reasons) he was contrite and staved off what would have been the final nail in his coffin of ass-clownness.
Today Trump finds himself banned from Facebook. Another good move.
If the Trumpers won't unplug from Trump, unplug Trump from the Trumpers.
This is absolutely a cult scenario. Millions of people are going to need help recovering from the Jim Jones of our era.
