mrs p has sinus infection. Took her to Dillions over the weekend to their clinic. She had Covid 100 days ago. I told her that they'd probably shove that chopstick up her nose again to test her, since she was outside of 90 days. Doctor just told her, "no, if you've had it, you're good."

God I hope the "new strains" don't take hold and we start seeing rampant (re)infections. I really wanna see the Covid trend continue to drop. I'm running out of steam here. I will lose my sanity if I have to keep isolating much longer. We've GOT to stamp this out.

The states/cities dropping the mask mandates are about as ignorant as a rock.

Fauci said the other day that all of us will likely have access to a vaccine by April. That is very encouraging.

New Zealand City Goes Back Into Lockdown After New Coronavirus Cases Detected

After three members of a family in New Zealand's largest city tested positive for the coronavirus, the city of Auckland has gone into lockdown — and the entire country is on high alert.

In a televised address Sunday evening, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the country is taking a "precautionary approach that has served us so well as a country."

With just 2,330 confirmed cases and 25 deaths since the coronavirus pandemic began, the island nation has been one of the most successful countries in the world at controlling the spread of the coronavirus. This has been due in large part to its quick and forceful countermeasures whenever a new virus case is detected.

Most new cases are detected in incoming travelers upon arrival, who are then placed into quarantine to prevent community spread. But no one in the infected family had recently traveled, and authorities are investigating how the infection might have occurred. It's the first report of new local transmission of the virus in weeks.

New Zealand knows how to pandemic. Their response will be the model for the future.

You have to treat something like this ferociously if you want to subdue it. On the surface it looks police state-esque, but New Zealanders have tasted a helluva lot more freedom than I have over the last 12 months.

Maybe if we had like five or six zones that were completely separated from each other with walls, that would help us to segregate! Then, if I’m not too bold, we could have annual games with a male and female contestant, and the winner gets to travel to the Capitol!
