8 games in. Season's over. The world should end now.
It could be very soon if Jeter's leg is worse than they think, Posada's shoulder is a problem all year and the old/young starting pitching can't get anybody out.

Your not tripping, it is a new scoreboard, looks a lot different at the K and it is just the begining. The new video board looks awesome on TV, can't imagine how great it looks in person. Solid win, Soria is the man, he's got a little Mariano in him with the way his ball moves and his size. Can't wait to see the new powder blues, I think they are breaking them out on Saturday.

        • I've got 98.7 on and am enjoying every minute of it. Than Yanks are on their 4th pitcher for some reason. I didn't join the game until sometime in the 3rd inning and they were on pitcher number 2.

          • I also noticed that Teahen in 0-0 with 3 walks. Buck hit his first homer of the year and Guillen has finally gotten an RBI. Sure, it's the first game I bench him in my fantasy league due to lack of production but I'll take it.

            • Now 4-0 with one out in the 6th. Zach should get one more inning before giving way to the bullpen.

Doesn't that always happen? I have a salary cap league I'm in and I dropped Bill Hall and Nick Swisher and picked up Carlos Beltran and Ryan Zimmerman. Good idea right? Not really, the day I dropped Bill Hall he hit 2 bombs, then Swisher decided to go on a tear. Beltran and Zimm have disappeared. Stupid over-thinking. :-x

                          • I almost hate to say anything for fear of jinxing them, but the pitching staff has been incredible so far. We are 5% of the way through the season and we have had the best staff in the majors up to this point. I am pretty confident that Bannister, Greinke, and Soria can be really good all year, but I really hope the rest of the guys can at least approach their current level for the rest of the year. If (really big if) the pitching staff keeps their collective ERA around 4, we might contend this year. BTW, the team ERA is currently around 2.5.

                              • Zach currently has an ERA of I believe .60. I'm gonna guess it'll go up some. But the staff has been impressive so far. The pen has been better than I expected. And we've got some good minor league prospects that could have an impact in the next couple of seasons. Hochevar will probably contribute at some point this year.

And with CHI losing that puts us in first :D
