    This will help.

I'm usually too busy bicycling to clean the chain and cassette. Mine's filthy. I have no intention to clean it when I get home, either. Eat, wait 10 minutes, and start pedaling. Come home about 2hrs later. Eat again. Shower, Sleep. Wake up. Work, and then repeat.
    You sound like me!

    • Hiking in Colorado all week. No riding for me. You guys have fun!

      • Well it was fun today. A bit on the chilly breezy side. Temps in the mid upper 50s and windy. Wife wore her new jacket which looks awesome, not as great as mine, but still. At first she was kind of chilly. Don't think she remembered what it was like to bicycle in the cold wind. Within 20-30 minutes she had her jacket open as she said she was getting warm. As MVJ calls it a complete molasses ride, 23.55 miles in 2 hrs 10 minutes, but these are kind of my days off so I really enjoy them. Enjoy Colorado MDog. Been thinking about taking a trip there next year (Southern Colorado) for the 30 year anniversary to do some bicycling-hiking.

Clouds were really weird today, in fact, it kind of sprinkled on us for 20-30 minutes under these clouds.

Where all are you planning to hike? We just got back from Colorado. When going there, we usually spend our time around the Boulder area to RMNP and areas between and around. Really didn't start hiking until we retired so nothing too hard or too long. We did get 1 10+ miler in.

          • Just finished the first hike. It was around Idaho Springs and would be the starting point for someone hiking to Mt Evans (14er). The stats according to my Fitbit were a little over 11 miles and elevation gain of 232 flights of steps. I know we were up around 12,000 feet at the turnaround point of our hike. Perfect weather. Lots of young people, dogs, and probably 50% of hikers wearing face masks! My buddy (the dude who rides his Huffy with me) and I were the only 60+ hikers I saw today. 28,000+ steps according to Fitbit. I’m beat! Betting I’ll be asleep by 8:00 pm tonight.

We’re in Dillon now and will be getting up early to do it all again tomorrow! I think the first few days are along the I70 corridor then we head south. Best news of the day is feet and knees in good shape! Ready for tomorrow!

              • Another breathtaking ride today. Only in Wichita do you need a jacket and underarmour to ride one day, and your shorts and jersey the next day. Beautiful sunny day here. Temps in mid-upper 60s.

22.8 miles in 2 hours 7 minutes with the wife. Fall is startiing to show in the Wichita area. I'm jealous of MD in Colorado right now, although I would rather be in the southern part of Colorado (Sangre de Christo mountain range). Hope everyone is well. (pictures from Lakepoint area fall foliage, rail corridor, and armour bike path.

                • Didn’t take a lot of pictures. Here’s what I got today.
BTW, just noticed they have a Pearl Izumi outlet store across the street from our hotel. Wish I had time to check it out.

                  • Well Huffy, being the great guy he is sent me some of his pics. BTW, Huffy and MadDog are celebrating our 44th year of hiking together. It all started with our senior class trip to go down and out of the Grand Canyon in April ‘76.

Nice photo, but one photo not good enuf. Not going into the PI store is flat out INEXCUSABLE!

Just go to the damn store! You don't have to buy anything. And again....a picture would be nice.

Friend of mine, he went to Sterling, and I hiked down the Grand Canyon in Aug 70. Camped at the bottom and hiked up the following day. Kaibab trail down and Bright Angle trail up.

                          • I rode 48 miles over the weekend, which gave me 107 for the week. Weather is real nice down here. Got my light on Saturday, but I'm not using it until Tuesday, as I need to take the day off.

                            • I rode 25 yesterday. None today, will ride tomorrow and Wednesday. My wife wants to do 70 on Friday, she's really starting to kill it out there.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

                              • 28.21 miles tonight. 2 hrs 11 minutes. The trees lining some of the redbud are glowing red. Gonna have to take a camera tomorrow. And I saw a fox. Running alongside me out near Andover, turned its head and ran across the path in front of me about 3 feet off the front wheel. At least he looked before he crossed.
