Sturgis will 100% be a cause for covid spread. The story will come out prior to the event and contain a lot of words like, "May", 'could', 'possibly", and quote experts who 'fear it could' and or even 'lead to' bad and diastrous things among the large portion of unvaccinated flag American flag waving citizens. A large group of ignorant people will read it, and think that the event and outbreak already occurred, not realizing they are being fed complete fear porn.
That's my biggest issue. We report thepossible mayhem and negatives, even when a large portion of the time nothing bad happens. These articles are more common than the real news stories."When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Better have some sugar and water too, or else your lemonade will suck!

Certainly PSAs aren’t as bad, but some of the US PSAs have been counterfactual over the last few decades (in general, not Covid).
In some areas of Australia, we hey are knocking on doors to make sure folks aren’t breaking lockdown, and a small military force has been sent in to assist with the enforcement.
Yes, the knocking on doors isn’t right, and I didn’t see that in the article piece. I don’t plan on wearing a mask, but will continue to listen to my doctor regarding the best preventions and treatments.

There’s no correlation between mask mandates and transmission rates.
Masks work, if they didn't they wouldn't be utilized in healthcare. Proper application is necessary, and the closer towards an N95 rating, the more scenarios you are protected in. Even a hand over the mouth offers some measure of protection.

An interesting side note though on probably why some of the trolls in this thread keep calling me a liberal: the liberal media has been FAR AND AWAY more accurate with their reporting on the pandemic than the conservative media and that's not an accident.
Trump started out pretty solid w/ the pandemic. Then late spring he had a meeting w/ his team and it went something like this:
Trump: Okay, I'm done with this ****ing Chinese flu. I have an election coming up, and if we don't get past this issue, it's going to haunt me all the way until November, 3rd. From here on out we are going to minimize the pandemic; we aren't going to talk about it any longer.
FOX: But how are we going to spin the deaths and the infections... they're increasing even in the summer. Shouldn't we continue pushing social distancing, masking, etc? The CDC says that if we don't get the infections down we could have a very nasty winter.
Trump: We're not only going to NOT talk about social distancing and masking, we're going to call such practices an attack on our freedom and a subversive attempt by the Democrats to steal our GOD-GIVEN rights.
FOX: BRILLIANT!!!
Trump: Okay, now let's start organizing some rallies. Make 'em indoor too. The pandemic as far as I'm concerned, is over.
We were at 100k dead at this point.

BUT, the vaccines WILL encourage the variants to evolve into something that eventually evades the vaccines altogether. This is why we need to be getting shots in arms as fast as possible. A partial campaign is going to lessen our chance of returning to normal "quickly".

FYI: 99% of the African-Americans I came across had their masks on. I'd say about 30% of the whites work masks.

There were anti-vaxxers before there was Trump. But Trump created the Covidiots and some became anti-vax just because it was yet another way to express their Covidiocy...
These... are exceptional examples of Covidiots:

Im not talking about N95s. I’m talking about the requisite coverings that are required. Those are ineffective. Yes, they do offer some level of decrease in viral expulsion, viral inhalation, but it is ineffective on an individual level as it doesn’t hit a high enough threshold to prevent infection.
