8 Shocker seniors played 184 of the 200 total available minutes in their season opening 61-66 loss at Creighton.

The only 2 non-senior players to play were Jr. Cesaria Ambrosio (11 minutes) and Fr. Alyssia Faye (5 minutes). They combined for 0 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists and 2 turnovers.

I really hope HCKA and staff have some talent coming in with this recruiting class or next year could be quite painful.

I could not say 100% for sure but Coach Keitha did say they would probably sign a coupe more players in the Spring and it's not unusual for Juco players to delay signing unitl the Spring if they sign an LOI at all. Could be Erika wants to see how things go at Wichita State this year. I'm sure we won't be her only option.

I wasn't real sure what class our 2nd French connection will be in but I did find a Hudl page indicating Carla is attending Life Prep Academy in Wichita this year which would seem support the conclusion that she will be a Freshman next year.. That page has a 12 second video of Carla knocking down a couple of 23 footers and she has a nice looking stroke. Obviously you can't read too much into seing two shots but perimeter shooting is an area the Shockers badly need help.
