Way to go ladies. Here's hoping for a fair and favorable draw.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

What a way to end your conference career. 3 time tourney MVP. 27 points, 6 boards, 4 assists and I don't know how many steals.

I thought Missouri State was pretty darned good....but these women are champions.

        Really, really awesome.

Congrats on the 3-peat ladies! Let's win a game this year!

Announcers said toward the end of the game that the Shox deserve a 10 or 11 seed in the tourney...unfortunately having a couple close wins against RPI 300+ teams could hurt us but a strong showing today might bump us up a bit. We find out Monday!

I doubt anyone challenges Jackie Styles for top Valley player of all time, but I would have to think Alex Harden has to be in the discussion for the #2 spot.

Winning 3 games in 3 days is tough under any circumstances but for a team with no bench, who have played huge minutes all year and who play a 94-foot, 40-minute, in your face game against with almost every team they face having more size then they have is simply a spectacular accomplishment.

I agree. In fact Laura Leonard, on the Valley color commentators, has more or less implied that Alex should have been the POY last yesterday. While she did not say that outright yesterday you could tell that is what she was thinking. Drake's Kyndal Clark won that award last year. Laura Leonard played and coached at Drake so it is not that she is biased in favor of Alex other than she really, really likes Alex's game.

While there may never be another Jackie Stiles there may never be another player as versatile as Alex. I just love Alex's ability to do so many things at a high level on the basketball court and at the same time she is one of the most unselfish players in Shocker history. Alex's plays defense so magnificently that I would lover watching her just to see her D it up. Because she is more of a quiet leader I think her leadership is often overlooked but make no mistake she is on outstanding leader.

The average score of a Lady Shockers game coming into today was 64-50.

The average score of a Shocker Men's game this year was 70-56.

Interesting that the average margin of victory for both teams was 14 points but I don't think there is anything there that suggests cutting the shot clock for the men to 30 seconds in and of itself will make much difference.

How many forced shots did the Lady Shocks take today at the end of the shot clock? Quite a few and most often those are misses.

Did I understand the Valley announcers correctly in that the Lady Shockers are the 1st to ever win 3 consecutive Valley Tournament Championships?

I wonder if Alex is the 1st to win 3 consecutive Valley MVP Awards?

In her 3 MVC championship games Alex has averaged 22.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 4.0 steals.

They may have said that, but the mvc put out a tweet mentioning that MSU won 4 straight in the early 90s.

WarrenNolan.com has the Shocks at #37 RPI. I'm hoping for no lower than 12 seed and maybe as high as a 10.

My understanding of bracketology though is not anything I would rely on very much.
