    2013 FBG Spring Showcase

Mompremier has been written about previously on Full Court. She is slowly learning to add more moves around the basket to make use of her height. She is also getting better at imposing herself defensively. A certain high major prospect, Beatrice says she is wide open as to possible college choices. - Bob Corwin

    2013 Battle in the Boro

Mompremier's offense appears to be improving as she is adding post moves around the basket. In this event, she was most noticed for her shot blocking and rebounding. Needless to say, she is a high major prospect and strong candidate for the 2015 Full Court Fresh 50. - Bob Corwin

    2012 Miami Suns Showdown

Mompremier is a talented player from Florida who has greatly improved over the last 12 months. A year ago Mompremier might have been in the category of “just tall” -- but that certainly isn't true any more. Mompremier brings great energy to the game and constantly impacts her team positively on the defensive end by blocking shots, rebounding, and because of her quickness, stealing the ball from slower post players. She's come a long way and if you are an uptempo college program there may be no ceiling for the post from Miami. - Kenny Kallina

    2012 ATL Summer Slam

Mompremier has been discussed previously on Full Court but her improvement over the last few months merits an update. Her motor seems to run close to high speed more often than many young posts. Cruz on Mompremier: “Defensively, she’s great already. Athletically, she runs the floor well for a big. She needs to improve most offensively but she finishes well with both hands around the basket even absorbing some contact." - Bob Corwin

    2012 Nike Nationals

Mompremier is decently athletic and medium-solid in body type. She runs well for her size and is a good finisher around basket still needing to add some range. An obvious high major prospect, some in Miami are already comparing her to her club team’s sponsor (Sylvia Fowles) but that may be a bit premature. - Bob Corwin

      • Here is 6'4 Shakyna Payne out of Georgia,4 star recruit on espn hoopgurlz and open to college choices. Again no one recruiting her at this time and she too is class of 2015

        • Just because there are no schools listed , it doesn't mean no one is recruiting them. I assume most 4 star and up recruits are being recruited freshmen year if not before. Recruiting services can be slow to list schools, especially on the women's side. But I applaud your dedication to finding talent.

            2013 Basketball on the Bayou

Mitchell has a good body and even better basketball IQ. She reads the floor well on defense, rebounds on both ends and loves to defend. She also showed she has the ability to put up numbers if needed. - Simmie Colson

            2013 Boo Williams Invitational

Mitchell’s performance has to be analyzed in light of that she is just a few months back from an ACL tear (seven out of 14 players listed on this team’s rosters have had to deal with this injury). Currently her game is primarily in the key although she will step out to shoot on occasion. With the Pistols a bit undersized as a team in the event went, her role in the paint was important to achieving the top prize at the Boo. - Bob Corwin

            Notes

As a sophomore in 2012-13, averaged 17 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 1.9 assists per game for Salem High School.

2013 Full Court Fresh 50 Invitational

BCS coaches love Martin's fairly strong build combined with her stroke and mobility. Her favorite move seems to be two dribbles and a jumper. Hopefully, she will build her consistency of range to beyond the arc. - Bob Corwin

                    • In what world is it useful to list out top 50 recruits? Aside from the question of whether it is likely that we would sign them, are these really recruits that any staff in the nation is going to be unfamiliar with (even assuming that listing any recruits here has any effect on recruiting)?

I understand bringing under the radar players to the coaches attention (think Ron Baker on the men's side), because it is reasonable that a coach might not have had reason to look at that player without that spotlight being put on them, but if the recruiting services are actively following a recruit, and particulary top 50/top 100 recruits, it seems to assume active incompetence on the part of our coaching staff to think that they need our help to be aware of that player.

I have no idea. While you might pick up a transfer that could be of value after sitting out a year, late signings in Women;s basketball are generally not going to be key players IMHO.
