In basketball I do believe it's against NCAA rules for coaches to scout in person, unless it's a tournament. But it could be a special rule for a higher profile sport. Either way would not be surprising.

If you attend tonight's match you will do a WTH! when you see the South Dakota setter. Then you will be impressed with how good of a player she is.

Still many, if not most, were there at the beginning of the Shocker match. Cleanthony and a few of the guys walked in right behind me at around 6:00.

I think you will notice it when you see her tonight. Just struck me as unusual when I saw her last night.

Is she the one who looks like an East German shotputter?

Seeing the score so far of the UH-CU match I'm wondering three things:

                    1. Did UH right a slightly leaning ship?
                    2. Is CU not as good as their ranking?
                    3. Is USD perhaps more deserving of CU's ranking?

(And sure enough, by the time I finished writing the above, CU ties it at 12 in the 2nd.)

Well, let's put it this way she is does not look like your classic volleyball setter. That said she is a very capable volleyball player.

The Rainbow Wahini seem to be able to turn it on when they need it. The big time zone difference and travel could of had them a little out of sorts against USD but from what I observed USD is a pesky team that will give just about anyone they play a few headaches. One thing for sure is the USD was not intimidated in the least bit playing Hawaii.

Hawaii finishes Set 2 on an 8-0 run for a 25-16 win and a 2-0 lead over the Bluejays.

CU leads the 3rd set 23-15.

And ends up winning it 25-19.

Dang, CU may tie this thing up at 2-2, up 20-16 after a 6-1 run, forcing a UH timeout.

Sounds like CU ties it at 2 with 2 straight aces to win set 4.
