Katie Reilly with a huge solo block after the Bears had ralled to within 1 at 20-21.

Huge solo from Katie and then point from Feekin to get us to 23-20. Come on ladies!

Shocks end the Bear's season with a sweep 22,12,22. Nice work Shocks.

Now let's play tomorrow like you believe you can win.

            Go Shocks.

I agree with an earlier comment by the Good Doctor, this win should get the Shockers in the Tournament. Only Illinois State winning the tournament could spoil that eventuality.

Lambo could not of been much happier after the match I don't believe.

Shocks still have the opportunity to make this a real special season with a couple more wins. Surprisingly, we've only won this Tournament once.

The other bubble teams just don't have a lot of positives. WSU has only one negative and that's barely a negative, losing to NMSU right out of the gate, and even they're in the tourney after winning their conference tournament.

Few teams have as many road wins as we have (10) or wins away from home total (13). I am not sweating the selection at this point.

Now I just want these girls to play with confidence tomorrow and beat UNI like we all know they are capable of doing.

Same issues the men's basketball team has? Maybe they can both change that this year..

What a nice win on Thanksgiving for the ladies. Great to oust the host Bares in their home gym in the Valley Tournament!
                        Deuces Valley.
                        ... No really, deuces.

Good start. Shocks 25-19 in Set 1.

The Shocks do seeem to have shaken off the 1st set doldrums that plagued them for much of the year.

                            Keep it up Ladies!

Shades of Cedar Falls. Shocks seemed to have totally lost focus as UNI jumps out to 5-0 lead in Set 2. The Shocks passing in Set 2 has been atrocious.

Shocks dig an 8-point deficit at 6-14 but then rally and got as close as 22-23 before UNI scored the last 2 points to tie the match at 1-1.

Unlike in Cedar Falls the Shocks did not curl up into the fetal position but battled back. Bottom line, however, is that you can not fall asleep at all against an opponent the quality of UNI.

I hope that lull in the early part of Set 2 doesn't prove to be the difference in the match.

BTW, Shocks got a little lift from Sam Sanders in Set 2.

Nice job coming back from a 12-4 deficit to get it within one a couple of times. Match tied at 1.
