A statement towards the end of the article, a statement taken from the postgame comments, needs some clarification.
"You’ll have to give me a good argument why we’re not better than some of these other bubble teams,” Lamb said. “I think we’re better than Santa Clara. I think we’re better than UNI. If we don’t get in, I’ll have a tough time understanding the committee’s math.”
He was not saying the Shockers were better on the court necessarily, but rather the Shocks had a better resume for qualification to the NCAA Tournament. (This, in part, for the benefit of @JayJ79:. :) ) He actually named some other teams - I think I recall Missouri being on his list. Of course, he may think we are better on the court, but that was not the topic he was addressing.
