The fact that UNI only strung together 2 three-point runs over the final two sets was a big key for the Shocks who have tended to allow teams to go on long unanswered runs this year.
I didn't realize MSU had a streak of years with 20 or more wins broken this year. That's solid. Also I didn't realize they have everyone but Shelby Strang returning next year. Assuming they get Karen Rivatto back fully recovered from her injuries I would expect the Bears to bounce back strongly next year.

I think the Lady Shocks may have done what they needed to do to make the NCAA Tournament field. Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

In the hopeful spirit of anticipating an at-large bid, I would like to made a statement in a humorous and friendly manner. I don't know if I succeeded and I fear that I did not and therefore I ask you to take this as my personal opinion and nothing more. Considering my poor evaluation/prediction/etc record and the fact that nobody who matters listens to me, perhaps you should take this with a huge grain of salt. Why am I posting this? Sometimes things said here might, hypothetically, affect players/recruits; they are not robots and unfortunately they do sometimes read ShockerNet. Do I expect anyone to change posting habits? No. Do I have any specific suggestions? Just a quote by Mark Twain: All you need is ignorance and confidence and the success is sure.
Just so you know, when it comes to volleyball, I think some (most?) posters here are sometimes delusional. (I am not separating myself from the rest of you. :smile-new: ) Think about these things:
* When fans evaluate another team on the basis of history and not on the basis of the coaching staff and roster, could they occasionally be wrong?
*When fans think and post that player A should start ahead of player B and Chris Lamb keeps starting player B, who do you think knows more about volleyball and knows more about the players' performances in practice? (Replace Chris and volleyball with Gregg and basketball or Gene and baseball. (EO might miss every midrange jump shot he takes in practice; Gregg knows far more than me about his team. :hororr:))
* Everyone has sources. Most of them are wrong.
* Mark Twain and Will Rogers were rarely wrong. :eagerness:
Feel free to blast away if you feel insulted or if you think your favorite former player has been maligned. (Also feel free to criticize if you think this post makes no sense; I've tried to remove as much sense as possible.:playful:) I like and respect all the Shocker volleyball players that I know and I am grateful for their willingness to be Shockers (once a Shocker, always a Shocker). I'm not trying to get anyone's goat but some of us are sometimes ... delusional.
(I edited this repeatedly in an attempt to remove all useful or specific content. :encouragement: You might ask yourself: Self, is he talking to me and, if so, what is he saying? To which you might reply Who are you talking to?)Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:

My 11th grade Humanities professor (rightfully) chastised me for turning in a paper that had a similar amount of rabble to it.
That's 3 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
As far as post season goes for the Shocks, I am fully confident they are in. I'll be watching at 3 to see where we're going, not if we're going.

I remember 28-3 18-0 in the Valley ranked 25 and NO at large. I put nothing past the ncaa. The selection committee just aren't very good at what they do.Last edited by shock10; November 25, 2012, 09:30 AM.First a Baseball fan then a Volleyball fan and then I guess I follow the basketball team.
