Kyles finally took his trip to Wichita this past weekend. We remain his top choice and he will make a decision by Wednesday. TCU is now his second choice. It certainly sounds like we are still offering, and more than likely he will become a Shocker.

I'm still a little surprised that we might "over sign" to get another SG. After this year, we lose a true PG in MB and a 2/3 in PJ and are adding a Juco PG, a 2/maybe 3 in AJ, and a combo guard in Murry. My guess is most combo guards are not strong PGs or that would be their position. So now we go after another SG in Kyles. I would have thought that a true freshman PG and a freshman 4/5 would be our next two most needed positions. Maybe it's become to hard to find a quality freshman PG that would play behind Hannah and possibly GM for two years, so CGM may be going for that freshman PG for the 09 class.

Is there anything that would keep a current player, on an athletic scholarship now, from getting an academic scholarship next year and walking on invited?

P.S. Just my opinion... you can't have too many quality guards on the roster. I believe we should always be deep at the 1 and 2 positions.
