Maybe, but I bet we have some we're looking at on a leg plan. :poster_shocks:

    • If we can get Alex Lomax, we appear to be in good shape and might wait until spring to fill the remaining scholarship (or scholarshipS, depending on Landry and Markis).

Not sure but we are looking at high schoolers Neftali Alvarez out of Flordia and apparently Courtney Ramey, a recent Louisville decommit. I think you can be pretty confident that there are always contingency plans.

            • I have noticed that it seems Mississippi St. has taken the place of KSU on the recruiting scene. Are they in on every recruit of WAY in this class?

You mean Ole Miss? I think we've been in head-to-head recruiting battles with them on Serrel Smith, Alex Lomax and Zach Naylor already.

                  • An assistant coach from WSU was at Huntington Prep in West Virginia today. Not sure as to why, but would guess it's related to the 2018 class.

                    Committments:
                    Javion Hamlet (Buffalo)
                    Cooper Kaifes (Loyola-Chicago)

                    Added Offers:
                    Chance Moore (Wichita St)
                    Trevelin Queen (Wichita St)
Zach Naylor (Wichita St, Ole Miss)
                    Flo Thamba (Penn St, Nebraska)
                    Antun Maricevic (Utah St)
                    Duncan Demuth (Oklahoma St)

Loyola has picked up some nice commitments with Isaiah Bujdoso and Cooper Kaifes.

                        • Just a general question- do most of you think we will fill all 6 openings in the fall signing period or will we hold anything back for a possible grad transfer or ???

I think we will try to fill all 6 spots this fall if at all possible. A grad transfer would be a good fit If Shamet or McDuffie were to leave early or if another spot opens up due to somebody transferring. If nobody leaves, the coaching staff will be free to spend the spring recruiting for 2019 & beyond.
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

                            • I think they will sign a PG, hopefully Lomax. After that I think they will be very
picky and only use #6 on someone they really covet.

3G is recruiting like they want to fill all 6 slots opening up in 2018 in the fall signing period. Clearly they would like to lock up a quality point guard with Alex Lomax looking like their primary target. They also have a handful of wings that they are looking at for 2018 with high schoolers Keyontae Johnson, Jared Rhoden, Chance Moore all having visited or scheduled to visit and Juco Zach Naylor scheduled to visit. I could not not really say whom among that group is their primary target but they are all quality recruits.

Now whether they are successful or not in locking up all 6 this fall remains to be seen. Initially Alex Lomax said he was going to wait until Spring but changed that recently and incidations are he is going to commit this fall but we will see.
