I have a friend that owns a photography studio. He's good enough that he has had photo shoots with Lilly Tomlin, James Baker, Ted Turner and more.

The picture you shared looks like one he might show to me and would have been very proud of.
It certainly tells a story. Canadian refs know that story, i think.

    • It appears Asbjorn has been designated to the bench after Horsholm recently acquired 6'7 Forward Marvin Dominique who played D-1 ball at St. Peter's. I'm not sure if this situation is more of Horsholm trying to improve their team or stubbornness about the fact that Asbjorn will be playing college ball in the states next year.

He did manage 8 points and 8 rebounds in 14 minutes of play yesterday in a 65-93 loss.

      • If Midtgaard could average 8-8 in 14 minutes a game for WSU next year, would anyone here complain?

Edit: By the way -- Mr. Bygone, Isaac Humphries, is currently averaging 4-4 in not quite 11 minutes / game for Kentucky.

Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

Hell no!!! That would mean that he was taking minutes from a senior as a freshman, which would lead me to believe he's pretty damn good with the potential to be very special.

            • Biggest Asbjorn I've ever seen.
For some the glass is half full and for others half empty. My glass is out of ice.

              • Took a look at his season so far.

Didn't start their first game, got 14 minutes, 2 points and 7 rebounds.
Started the next 4, got 24 to 30 minutes, scored 10 to 14 points and grabbed 7 to 15 rebounds. Three double/doubles.

                Then he signed with WSU.

                Hasn't started since, 10 to 18 minutes, 4 to 8 points, 2 to 8 rebounds.

It would appear that his club has decided to reduce their investment in Asbjorn since he's leaving them.

                • Which unfortunately translates to less playing time to gain experience and improve and hone his skills.

Or fortunately less chance for injury.

Thanks for the explanation, I was wondering what was going on with his performance. Logical action by the team to reduce their investment in AM since he is moving on to Shockerland.

IMO AM has the potential to elevate his game and the performance of the Shockers for as long as he chooses to play for WSU.

                      • I'm scratching my head at the suggestion a team would put their feelings about a player's next destination ahead of winning, assuming that player helps them win.

I can think of a comparison with pro teams that know they have missed the postseason and plan to release a veteran QB for instance and want to get a head start on developing their new players through the remainder of the schedule. That's the only scenario I can think of.

                          • 14-20 minutes is fine. He plays most everyday in practice or games so he should be developing. WSU still develops their players even if they are not playing lots of game minutes. Not a big concern imo. The main thing is that his team has other big men to play against during practices.

                              • Little late to this one. Horsholm defeated Copenhagen 86-71 on Friday.

Asbjorn played 35 minutes, recording 7 points, 13 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 assists to 1 turnover. http://basketball.realgm.com/interna...m-79ers/246563
