    1. EH - lot of talent but has not made significant contributions to the team to date, likely candidate in my opinion

    2. DW - has the talent to make significant contributions but was disappointing in the Augusta game

    3. DS - could easily make significant contributions playing the Point this season, unlikely candidate IMO

    4. RN - on the bubble IMO given his age and other available front line players

While both big men are appealing, IMO if the Shockers can sign only one AM is the five the Shockers need for the future.
I'm not ready to even begin mentioning that DW would transfer. He's a JUCO all-american. He was quite nervous while playing in front of the Koch arena crowd.

I think if someone goes its either EH because he could get a lot of playing time somewhere .. I'm just not sure he fits in here in Marshall's system. The other would be RN, I'd only be ok with that if its because he graduated and wanted to head home. Otherwise I want him on the team because he not only is a solid player, but he seems to be a very good TEAM player.

Perhaps it doesn't get fixed until 19-20 but I personally doubt it.
I've be pondering this myself. Not only that, but we basically lose our entire frontcourt without any proven people behind them or coming in. We would basically be forced to start and play new people in the front court (transfer or Freshman).

I agree partially. There's just no way anybody can make an assessment of Willis after one exhibition game. Now, 3G and his staff can probably make that assessment based on what they see in practices. But his comments have not been anywhere near the point he's signaling that Willis won't be a key contributor on this team at some point.

Of the three, perhaps Hamilton is the odd man out, but again, I'm not advocating for any of the current batch of players to leave. But of the three, Hamilton has been perhaps the most frustrating to this point.

Finally, to suggest that Nurger would leave after his junior season to play one more year, after sitting out yet another year, would be surprising I would think. And I think Marshall signaled to the young man that he appreciates what he's doing thus far by starting him Saturday. I'm more of the mind that Gregg finds a way to bring another player to the fold without losing anyone else on the roster.

I agree with your thinking and hope HC3G finds a way to keep everyone currently on our roster while adding AM to our roster next season.

The one thing that intrigues me with this, is it seems one of the options used in the past isn't really an option this time around. We've used Sunrise multiple times and as of this point, AM would be the only one that would be eligible for a prep year at Sunrise. I'm not sure that really helps our situation in 2018-2019 though. Along with that Wessel is no longer a viable candidate to pull a scholarship from!!!!

That said, Marshall knows what he's doing.

Would've been really nice to have Rauno redshirt last year. Then again, there's probably a handful of games we might not have won without him.

Usually, players transfer because they aren't getting enough playing time. But with a 10, 11 or 12 player rotation, everyone is getting playing time. Now if HCGM limits the rotation to 10 players, and it's always the same 10 players, that could be an incentive for the other 2 players to transfer.

We may not want to deal with the reality that if Marshall can sign someone that he feels is an upgrade over a current player, we will be losing a current player. The class that player is in may not be a factor.

Marshall, just like WSU fans, likes to win basketball games. Lots and lots of basketball games.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

This is my favorite commitment since McDuffie/Shamet two years ago.. it's been too long since we've had that kind of potential presence in the post
