I really like the fact that he goes right to the basket and doesn't feel the need to put the ball on the floor every time he gets the rock. He also moves his feet well and gets himself in good position, whether for the rebound or defensively. I'm pretty sure Marshall could do something with this kid.

This reminds me of the first fish I almost caught. Was knee-high-to-a-grasshoppa. My Dad and I were fishing at a creek along this lonely country road on a bridge. He was fishin, not wishin, on one side of the bridge and yours truly was on the other side. Without warning this undersized perch took the bait. With cat-quick reflexes, I screamed like at a haunted house as I jerked up on the pole with all might.

Ya'll ready for this? I don't think so but here goes. The fish flew sky high over my head like Cotton going up for a dunk, over Dad's head on the other side of the bridge and splashed into to water on the other side of the bridge in the creek. So what was Not for Dinner that very night? You know!! YIPES, STRIPES, BEECHNUT GUM!!!!!!!

Now back on topic. I like tall rugged, tough players and think Asbjorn could make a solid Shock in due time IMO. We hear you can't teach height. Then we will also look good at Airports which is a plus if we keep up with our winning ways.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

              I don't know. I didn't see him take a single 3 point shot.

What's the chance of Gregg getting both Asbjorn AND Keenan Fitzmorris? I'd prefer Fitzmorris but we've whiffed on the more highly touted Bigs. At least with Asbjorn, he's already got the stature unlike, say, Rauno, and in the hands of Kerry, I'm pretty sure he'd get even more stout.

Who do you think would be the two most likely players to transfer next year in order to get both of these players? Or do you think one or both of them would walk on?

We usually have one or two players transfer at the end of each school year. This time Peyton Allen transferred at the beginning of the school year, but that scholarship, which was taken by JRS, will eventually be taken by the commitment of Samajae Haynes-Jones. So there might not be any other players transferring to free up a scholarship.

The 400 lb gorilla in the room is that next year's senior class is set to have 7 players. Nobody wants to replace 7 of 13 in one year. That imbalance has to be fixed, one way or the other.

Perhaps it doesn't get fixed until 19-20 but I personally doubt it.

I hear what you're saying, but I'm certainly not advocating for anyone to transfer, especially not anybody left on this roster. And I've learned that 3G always seems to find a way to get players in the fold. I'm merely considering the possibility of choice here.

Resolving issues like this is why HC3G makes the 3.3m; IMO the scholarships involved are:

                              1. EH - lot of talent but has not made significant contributions to the team to date, likely candidate in my opinion

                              2. DW - has the talent to make significant contributions but was disappointing in the Augusta game

                              3. DS - could easily make significant contributions playing the Point this season, unlikely candidate IMO

                              4. RN - on the bubble IMO given his age and other available front line players

While both big men are appealing, IMO if the Shockers can sign only one AM is the five the Shockers need for the future.

Very good point. Even if people don't want to admit it will happen. It will.
