Everyone would love to see that. The difference as I see it is that Rauno understood where he needed to be on the court most of the time on both defense and offense, he got sped up whenever he got the ball and tried to dribble and bring the ball down too much. Eric on the other hand seems like he doesn't know where to be a lot of the time.
Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

    • Also, minutes were available with Grady graduating. EH doesn't have the benefit of any spots opening up next year.

Rauno looked way better last year than Eric does this year .. Just my opinion.

He averaged 7.6 minutes, 1.6 points and 1.2 rebounds.

Eric is averaging 4.9 minutes, 1.4 points and 1.3 rebounds.

Rauno showed some mustard in the NCAA and we all grabbed hold of that. Hopefully Eric can do something similar.

Rauno was solid on defense and seemed to have the fundamentals ... Eric doesn't IMO. A lot of stuff that doesn't show up on the stat sheet.

Even last year, Rauno's minutes weren't garbage-time. EH was getting those. I also suspect if you looked at EH's efficiency over those minutes it won't look good. If you compared EH's shots to passes (who wants to volunteer to count those? :) ), shots might still come out ahead.

Rauno played good defense last year. He played well against UNLV & Utah's NBA prospect men. It just took a while for his offense to catch up to the rest of his game.

He does have 1 assist on the year!

Was it an airball that went right to somebody under the basket?

I don't remember it, but I'm sure it was magnificent!

I expect us to sign a guy in the spring, and if that happens, two must give up scholarships. Prolly Wessel and EH.
Seems like Allen's scholarship that went to jrs is available to Asbjorn Mitgarrd.

They are still over, since two are coming in and one is going out.

I might have flunked out in the sixth grade, but that seems like a surplus of 1 schollie to me!

Look at the roster on GoShockers.com. There is one senior: John Robert Simon, Jr. Two incoming players signed LOI's. The Big Dane & the guard from Hutch Juco. Both of them are doing very well. Shockernetters report regularly on their progress in the Recuiting thread here.

                              • We have 10 guys who regularly see the floor. That leaves Hamilton and Keyser as the last two off the bench. If it is going to be suggested to one of the players that they would get more playing time and be better suited at another college, you would think it would come from one of those two.

Keyser's minutes are going up. Hamilton's are going down. In one recent game Barney came off the bench ahead of Hamilton.

There are other possibilities - none of them are something fans would like. Reaves might decide he doesn't want to risk more damage to his shoulders or have more surgeries. Couldn't blame him if he felt that way. Frankamp is probably going to graduate and might decide that's enough college for him, although he seems to be enjoying playing the game.

There's also the possibility one of the regular players wants a change of scenery or wants to be closer to home. It will work out and we will never know if it was a coach's decision or a player's decision. We can only hope that it ends well for whoever ends up being the odd man out.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
