talked to someone who has seen Humphries play who considers him a four-year player whose athletic ability may have been better suited to WSU than Kentucky.

There's a small chance Humphries changes his mind. And, perhaps HCGM is working on it, perhaps not. I tend to agree about him being a 4 year player. What he really has going for him is his size.

Yes, shockda, that seems to be the consensus in regard to his age -- but the point about his NBA prospects isn't so much whether he'd need to spend one year passing through college or two; it's that he's more likely to be a four-year player.
As I've pointed out many times about Perry Ellis, when he was a hotshot City league recruit there was lots of talk about his expected brief stay in college, too -- you can look it up -- but of course we now know that Ellis (perhaps because he's a pretty level-headed guy with level-headed parents) ended up staying for all four. Lots of people get discussed as one (or two) year wonders, but fewer actually end up that way, and fewer still should come out as quickly as they do. The key with Humphries is that if his being a four-year player is indeed a more realistic assessment of his future -- and by the way, there's nothing wrong with that: Cleanthony Early spent four years, Baker will end up spending five; Shabazz Napier was another four-year guy -- he'd likely be better off getting the sort of coaching and cultivation available at WSU than at a school that heavily features kids just passing through.Last edited by WSUwatcher; August 6, 2015, 06:20 PM.

I'm still not sure why so many are convinced he is going to UK. All the reports that have said that are Kentucky guys, who assume that if someone visits, they won't have any desire to consider other options. Isaac and his team have been extremely quiet about the whole thing. I'm NOT saying he won't eventually choose UK, but I also don't believe it's been decided yet."You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. Your Best is Good Enough."
