Also ... Humphries would be a HUGE pickup. In every way. This would be a major recruiting splash.Originally posted by BleacherReportFred VanVleet on Shockers' 3-Pt Shooting Confidence -- ' Honestly, I just tell these guys to let their nuts hang.'

Everybody looks good in highlight videos. Humphries is 7' tall and has some nice skills, but...
...I don't notice much athleticism. The lack of foot speed has already been discussed.
What I do notice is what appears to be a lack of conditioning.
Humphries is comfortable and has some skills setting screens, but he's got a year or 2 of conditioning work before his D1 game is going to really emerge. Morris' HS highlights showed what appeared to be a better conditioned and obviously more athletic player. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

You also realize that Ehimeh Orupke is a better athlete than Kevin Love? You do remember Kevin Love don't you? Here are some of his high school highlights:

Considering how poor of an athlete he was in those highlights, it's amazing that he even made a college team.
Kevin Love has a doppelganger and his name is Isaac Humphries.
Isaac Humphries has the skill set of a 28 year old NBA veteran, not some "nice skills". He is a plug and play freshman who understands the game waaaaay beyond his years. He will not play more than two years in college barring some really weird circumstances such as injury. You don't get those kind of skills unless you have a work ethic. Work ethic means conditioning won't be a problem.
Conditioning will happen.
