Well, I think we can definitively say that he isn't a three-point shooter. Better that he not take them at all, though, than take them only to miss.

Healthy, I have no idea how Valley teams are going to deal with us inside. Any two of Carter/Glass/Morris is going to cause Valley coaches to lose complete control of their colons. They'll hope their primary defender can stop Carter but their secondary defender is going to be seriously up against it. So here comes the double, which is going to have to be a guard (A...that's all they are going to have left and B....doubling from the weak side post is extremely hazardous) and then, oops, Baker, VanVleet and Cotton are shooting unguarded 3s.

I believe the Valley will be markedly better next year. I am beginning to think in WSU's case it may not make any difference.

        Edit:

I realize I might be way off base, but I also believe HCGM is going to continue his up tempp curve. With VanVleet and Baker, this team is phenomenal in transition so there's no reason to think we aren't going to push the pace on both ends of the court, big time.

Do you genuinely have that much confidence in Morris? Or are you just cheerleading? I'm actually curious, not trying to contradict you. I wouldn't know one way or the other-- I've been both a little discouraged by some of Marshall's comments about Morris and very encouraged about Morris's apparent willingness to do what he needs to do to get in game shape. But if you're actually this confident about him, that makes me excited.
There are nights when I think that Sal Paradise was right.

I should have prefaced my comments by saying "exclusively on the defensive side". No, I am not confident that Shaq (or anyone that hasn't been through a season with 3G) is prepared to be stellar defensively. I am confident that Shaq would be nightmare singled in the post against Valley teams 2nd post defender. The young man has skill. Defense and motor is what we need to see.

if he is any combo of Durly offensively and Carl Hall offensively then I am going to be really excited...
