We might not get this guy but I will be very surprised if Creighton is who does.

Come to Wichita and win a championship, Dean.

Really??? Some of the Creighton fans think that now that they're in the NBE that their brand is so elevated that they are now the "Duke of the Midwest."

I know, I know . . . I had a hard time keeping a straight face as I typed this. Talk about delusional. LOL

Yeah, that place is just weird. I got to go to the Vanderbilt NIT game in 2005. It felt like a two-sided Globe Theater from Shakespeare days.

Fixed. I think Ron is a huge asset in this department. Think about it who is KSU going to pair him up with on his visit?

Oh, I agree, and Ron will be important too. I am worried though that the difference is that Ron came here because he had no interest from K-State or KU. Had he had interest, maybe he wouldn't have come to WSU. Dean is receiving that attention. St. John is a strong Wildcat area, so it's going to take one hell of a recruiting job to keep him from going to K-State, even though WSU is CLEARLY a better program. Still though, if anyone can do it, it's 3G and Ron.

I'm not sure what the young man is thinking about, but KSU has been on him as long as we have or longer and he may not see an opportunity for immediate PT in Wichita. Both parties are mutually interested, but KSU MIGHT be a better fit in this young man's eyes.

As expected Dean Wade did make a jump in the new Rivals Top 150. Wade went from unrated to #107.

Wade says he could make a commitment as soon as this weekend or next, or maybe longer.

Sounds like he really likes K-State. The family ties don't hurt either.

But think about how old he was in 2006 with the Shocks Sweet 16 run. Those sorts of memories at around 10-12 years can have an immense impact on sports allegiances. How old was he when we won the NIT? The Final Four? Last year?

Now... what was K-State doing during the same time period?

They were touting a shared regular season title with a team they were 0-3 against that year.

We need to IMPRESS when he comes. We have the coach who can do that...
