Syracuse wants him to be their backup to Jesse Edwards, maybe third string if their incoming freshman is a stud. His mom says he may take one more visit, but decision is coming soon.

If it is playing time he seeks, we welcome Q. Ballard here with welcome arms. Along with Xavier, this would be a solid start. Remember, our Shocks visited the Dome and laughed all the way to the bank with a win. They never invited us back.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Fanbase thinks he's too dumb to learn the zone.....

Well, if Xavier and Quincey replace Qua and Joe in terms of production, at least WSU will have added some height and length to the roster.

Not saying they will win WSU the league, but it’ll be nice not to be the smallest roster every game.

Effective low post scorers are not easy to find. Last months Madness showed that. Horrible post play, generally speaking.

WSU struck out with Pleasant, and now with an in-demand legit on-the-block scorer gone also, they can't afford to just give a scholly to a "tall kid."

I’m not super keen on this 7’ kid. However, we have room for 8 more schollies right now, and we only have one Center. We need 3 Centers so a 7’ possible shot blocker would be a good fit. I wouldn’t think he’s guaranteed playing time. He has to earn it.

I'd take him but wish he would make up his mind soon. I hope we are reaching out to some other legit centers in the portal and not counting on just this one ( anyone know? ).

One I know of is Fanck Kepnang from Oregon. 6'11" kid who averaged 4.7 ppg. 3.1 rpg, and 1.2 blocks per games as a Sophomore last season. Much better option.

Probably, but Fanck averaged 2.4 fouls pg playing 14.5 minutes pg.

Ballard has averaged 0.6 fouls in his 4 minutes per game. That would equate to a 2.18 fouls if he were to have played the same 14.5 minutes as Kepnang. Not much difference.
