  • If playing in the ncaa is a dream I would think he would be more likely to see that dream fulfilled at WSU due to the rebuilding that is being done at isu and mizzou

Iowa State is undefeated and just beat #25 Xavier yesterday. They’ll play Memphis tomorrow.

Undefeated does not translate to more minutes on the court, especially if the NBA is his goal. His EKU profile (when he was a player at EKU) says as much.

Iowa State is thin in the post. Jaz Kunc, and Tristan Enaruna have been getting better as the season has went on at the PF spot. But Enaruna is still a project with tons of potential, and Kunc is still getting into the swing of things after missing much of the post season team activities because of injuries. Both are a bit undersized with both being 6'8. George Conditt, and Robert Jones have both had their moments in the middle for Iowa State this Season so far but the drop off between Conditt and Jones was very noticeable this week in the win over Xavier. As of right now the only player that would get more playing time as the season rolled on over King would be Conditt. But the way they both play they would be able to coexist on the floor at the same time.

The Xavier win was nice no doubt, but their others wins were over teams like Alabama State, Grambling, and Kennesaw State with a combined record of 6-17. Not saying they aren't good but let's wait and see.

Good info. I assume you are a fan of Iowa state. The shox have a glaring need for a big, after one juco recruit decommitted before the season and the returning starter Udeze hasn't yet returned to the efficient scorer he was last year (and he is a bit undersized). We have also gotten good minutes from a high upside 6 11 freshman, Kenny Pohto, who is a stretch 5 who shoots well from deep but isn't a threat inside yet.

They are the only centers on the roster, and our power forwards aren't two way players. Jackson gets caught napping on D, while Pleasant doesn't look to shoot even if he is wide open (both are also undersized).

              • Sadly, we may all need to root for Memphis tonight, Iowa St. may have beat Xavier but they still probably don’t have any tourney hopes. However, their staff may be able to convince him they do with a win tonight. And there’s always the chance Memphis throws the ball into the 4th row 31 times.

                          • Just my opinion

Mizzou is out of the picture.

ISU is in the B12, which almost guarantees a tourney bid if they finish in the top half of the league, and it looks like they should be able to do that. Right now the B12 is the best basketball conference by the perception of the media and the writers.

Iowa State has some obvious advantages in the recruiting of King. If he commits to the Shox, it will be because of the CKA crowd and the CKA experience (hopefully better than the "Hilton Magic" experience) and the efforts of the coaching staff.

This is not an easy recruiting battle. I will be seriously impressed if IB wins this recruiting battle.

                            • Better chance to "stand out" as a potential NBA'er at Wichita. But I suppose the brighter lights of the Big-12 will win this battle.
