The talk on MU's own message board was that the coaches wanted him to switch from the 4 to the 5, which may have been something he wasn't comfortable with, at least in their system.

It could have been an entirely off the court issue for all we know. The fit maybe just wasn't right. Hard to know.

No we don't know. However, I would trust Bossi to have better sources to a message board. He said that MU wanted to redshirt McKay and didn't mention a position change. We will probably never know for sure.

Iowa State site has been pumped up on them getting McKay as they were a finalist for him last year. However I don't think they have scholarship available at this time.

Jameel McKay will visit Iowa State during weekend of 11/15-17 when Cyclones host Michigan, per a source. Rashad Vaughn also visiting.

Should be an impressive atmosphere for him to see. Iowa St. fans will rock the house against Michigan...
