New polls came out today, we are like 36th in both, seems like we are getting some respect, i would have figured they would drop us more points for loosing.

Nice, huh? Looks like the writers downgraded us a bit, but the coaches are a little more impressed.

Both polls were out yesterday, before the game.

I didn't see them posted til today so that confused me. Uconn has votes in one, we might have a few next week, but not many if we do.

Maybe some of the stats guys can explain. My other alma mater is ranked #1 with wins against teams from #120 to #292 and even MSU is ranked higher than WSU with wins against teams ranging from #109 to #206 and losses to #23 and #75.

              University of Kansas (#1)
              W Longwood #292
              W Valparaiso #120
              W North Texas #126
              W Texas A/M CC #242
              W Ohio #144

              Missouri State (#56)
              W ORU #116
              W Arkansas St #206
              L Tennessee #23
              L Tulsa #75

              W Pepperdine #199
              W Pacific #109

              Wichita State (#63)
              W Texas Southern #327
              L Connecticut #27
              W Chaminade NR
              W Virginia #96

If points margin counts, perhaps GGG should crank it up when needed.
Other teams of note: SDSU #25 and LSU #82. Creighton is the only other MoVal team besides MSU and WSU ranked under 100.

Ken Pom uses pre-season ratings to weight things in the early season. As the season progresses these ratings influence is less important. I think I read their weighting is about 5 games worth of play.

your welcome. Interesting Pomeroy gave Butler a 95% of winning - just shows you 95% is not 100%.

It gave OU a 100% chance of beating Chaminade.

I've always wondered why a weather man would forecast 100% (or 0% for that matter) chance for rain. You're just setting yourself up for failure. If I were a weather man, best I would ever do is 99% (or 1%). Gotta leave a little room for something weird to happen.

Find the 2024-25 NCAAM rankings on ESPN, including the Coaches and AP poll for the top 25 NCAAM teams.

3 points in the AP. UCONN enters at #7.

                              I guess I shouldn't be be surprised.

But we lose to the #7 team and drop. It doesn't make a lot of sense.

At least San Diego State is #17.

I'm just glad we're still a blip on the radar. I don't see us losing more than 4-5 games from here on out. If we can get a victory at SD, and then get a strong start to the valley, I think we could creep in to the top 25.
