I'm going to be Devil's Advocate. KSU has a SOS of 30, and they have lost to (teams with their RPI's) Duke 10, Florida 16, UNLV 20, OK State 42 and Colorado 71. These teams have a combined record of 69-17. KSU does not have one bad loss.

They have quality wins VT 73, Gonzaga 46 and Washington St 56. Now, if WE played that schedule would we be as fortunate as to come away with only 5 losses? They look better than us when we can only say our best win is against Tulsa who has an RPI of 113.

With that said, now that they have entered Big 12 play, they will soon get knocked completely out of the rankings but today, on paper, I have no arguement.

I'd feel pretty good about WSU picking up 3 wins out of those 8. WSU has not earned a spot in the Top 25. Neither has a team with a 3-5 record against decent competition.

Agreed. It helps when a couple of those wins have either been on their home floor or in front of the majority of their fans (Sprint Center). I bet WSU also gets the job done at home.

When you are 1-4 versus Top 50 RPI teams, you don't deserve to be in the Top 25. (about to go 1-5)

When your RPI is in the 50's - you don't belong in the Top 25

When you are 10th in your conference standing, you don't belong in the Top 25.

I actually liked his play and the way he conducted himself. I guess now that the Kittens are tanking, it's harder to maintain that composure.

Well then, I know where you stand in terms of the Shox and their chances of breaking the top 25. With our 90+ SOS and no wins against the Top 100, this pretty much relegates us on the outside looking in.

Why would anybody think the Shox be in the top 25? That door opened and closed long ago.

The facts are the facts. They better win and win and win and that may not be enough. Bracketbuster (hopefully) and MSU will be their last chance to notch any quality wins. This would probably be a good year for WSU to finally win STL for once.

Our SOS is actually a number you shouldn't be bringing up. For a Valley school in 2011, 90 isn't that bad. What the hell do you expect.. a Top 10 SOS in this league? :roll:

Our problem has been tanking against the best teams on our schedule. Also we had about two cupcakes too many from the depths of the SWAC. Take that out, and we have a really good SOS.
