    1. I do not know much about the RPI formulation.

    2. The Shockers beat the LSU Tigers.

    3. Now suppose the 7-5 Tigers get on a roll and defeats a couple of ranked teams and racks up say 17 wins.
Who you beat really doesn't matter for RPI purposes. What matters is winning on the road and racking up as many wins as possible.

    4. Does LSU's performance enhance the Shockers RPI?

    5. Thank you. That is all.
Right now LSU is the 4th best "help" on WSU current RPI. Unfortunately they are projected to go 6-10 in conference. If this happens, their "help" will be minimal positive to neutral.

Right now LSU RPI is projected to go 16-15, RPI 158. If they go 17-14, their RPI will climb slightly to 135. They really need to go 20-11 to get sub-100 RPI.

The other thing is if LSU does worse than projected then they could become a drag on WSU rpi.

    • The good news is, they won't be as bad a drag as half of our home schedule.

      • Here is my solution:

        1. Any team with 0.500 record goes to the Big Dance.
        2. Discontinue seeding system. Use drawing or lottery system for bracket setup.
        3. RPI will not longer be necessary.

        Just kidding....sorta.

            :good:

He hasn't had us on the poll all year, if we can get a couple of our preseason voters back on board we'd be closing in on the Top 25 (if not, we'd at least be much higher than our 0 votes this week.)

            • Since I'm not a team member or part of the staff, I'll look ahead. Win the next five and we are in the top 25. Add two more and it will be top 20. The first five are all games we should win to meet expectations. The next two include the game at CU.

I will feel alot more comfortable with your win prediction vs. CU on Jan. 12 if we win, and be impressive doing it, on Jan. 1 (@Bradley) & Jan. 7 (@ISU-red).

                • No prediction on the outcome of the games. Just saying how I think we will stand in the polls if we do win.

Trop - insert "desired outcome" in place of "win prediction."

                    • Hopefully I'll feel a little better about the desired outcome late Wednesday night considering how we played the Aces last year.

I desire, for the both of us, our desired outcome Wednesday becomes a reality. I just feel this team has taken that next step needed to become the team we all desire for this year.
