  • Since they mention the possibility of a Wichita neutral site, I'm doubtful of the Tulsa game being at IBA. In the past I thought the 2 for 1 offer would be two in Wichita and one on the road. But I'm thinking otherwise now if they are trying to get a team worthy of the IBA.

Please correct my thinking if you think I'm off base which is very possible.

I personally interpret that as Marshall saying we are playing Tulsa at IBA. It could just be hypothetical, I'm not sure.

      • Maybe it's: "Sure Iowa State, we'll take Boozer if you play us 2 for 1 including neutral at IBA".

          No! No!

We're looking for D1 teams with RPIs better than 300.

            • Georgetown filled out its schedule with Utah State. Apparently Coach Thompson III wanted to "challenge his team again before Big East play"

Missed opportunity. Hope we at least made contact about scheduling a game.

Haha, I wasn't referring to Iowa, rather Iowa State.

Now Dec. 7 has been eliminated from the list. Hopefully that's not a date that will live in Shocker infamy. (Actually, since the 8th is still open, maybe they have scheduled a Dec. 6 game?)

" ... Wichita State is seeking a game @ home, can offer a substantial guarantee including lodging plus other incentives. Home dates include Nov.18, December 8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15th. Will also consider 2 for 1,starting in Wichita,KS, neutral site ..."
The entry has been updated again. It now reads:

"Home dates include Nov.13,14, December 7,8,9,10."

I assume that means that we have finalized both of the contracts we sent out recently and officially have only 1 more game to fill.

                  • For those of you that don't like Bracketbusters, how would you like to still have two games open?

                    • Bracketbusters is fine as long as the Shockers play well enough to get one of the better teams. If we don't by that time in the year it probably doesn't matter who we play.

Utah State was a good draw. If we would of beat them and not blew the last part of the MVC schedule we would of been dancing.

I'm not sure it would make any difference. Without all the participating teams having those two built-in games, they would be easier to get on other team's schedules as OOC games.

                        • Suellentrop had stated that we were going to play Texas Southern this year. Their website has TSU v Wichita State on Nov. 16.

It also has the game being played Norman, Okla.

                          At 7:05 a.m.

I'm guessing the date is good, and everything else is bad.

Clearly. They have bad locations and times throughout the posted schedule.
