Suellentrop reported that it was three games at the end of last week. Four would be very, very bad.
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

I would rather not play the games than play any +250 rpi team.

Just have to keep our fingers crossed for a decent team that is getting very very desperate. Sometimes very good games are scheduled at the last minute. However, we are almost past "the last minute".

I'm afraid we will have at LEAST 2 300+ rpi teams when it is all said and done....

          G'town looking to start a H/H, or buy game @ G'town.

Missouri looking for buy game, possible H/H.

Seton Hall also looking for H/H or 2 for 1....

Part of the problem with this year's schedule is that coaches are more informed than the general public and other coaches know what WSU has this year.

Do you think G'town would give us a buy game at their place this year? I don't. Remember Syracuse. It's one thing to lose a home game to a "mid-major". It's quite another to have to pay $100K for that loss.

Fans aren't as knowledgeable as coaches. Fans would think the world had ended if their BCS team lost to WSU. Playing WSU this year is not a good coaching move.

Have you noticed that SIU is having no problem getting BCS schools on their schedule this year?

We're going to get cupcaked and we're going to have to pay through the nose for that privilege.

Do the Shocks still have 3 games left to fill the schedule for this year?

Yup, it would seem the only hope is to find other mid-majors in very similar position that are willing to do a deal. It would be worth giving them a home-and-away where they can have the advantage at home this year to avoid the cupcakes. That's a long shot though, because the small number of mids in our position probably already have scheduling conflicts.

Looks like we may be 1 game closer to a finished schedule.

On the Basketball Travelers scheduling site WSU updated their dates needed to be filled by eliminating Nov 13/14 from the list. Could be interesting what plays out. There are several BCS schools that list the same dates as days they want to play.

Just have to keep watching the updates and maybe we can guess who it will be.

in earlier posts people were listing games that we were sure of at this point.
we play @ SDSU dec 4th.
and we play LSU dec 18th.

(i can't remember where I got those dates, but i wrote them down as soon as i read them weeks ago.)

Has anything been decided for sure on where the Tulsa game is going to be played? Last thing I saw from Suellentrop said it was unknown.

I thought the first two games were to be played at CKA and whatever their place is and the last two may be moved to the local arenas. But I may have just dreamed that for all I know.

It is starting to get late, and I hope they get those home games scheduled.
