I agree that HCGM and the staff will have the video shredded bright and early tomorrow and they will hopefully have one tough, nail-spitting practice. A W is a W, but this one shouldn't have them dancing in the aisle on the flight home.

I think this game will give us Great courage in Cedar Rapids. Only thing I worry about is that the refs don't feel safe up there. I remember one game during some disasterous 90s years when we had the game won in the last seconds and Claudius Johnson came down with the winning rebound with a guy on his back--they call a foul on Claudius--TOTAL BS--the NI guy goes to the line with no time on and buries a one and one to beat us by one. Snow Country Robbery...the refs had no way out of town. Worst gamechanging call ever until the Screw in the Lou.

The Espn guy did...maybe he was listening to the campus broadcast to much...i thought that seemed like alot

1)One of the reasons this team is 19-4 is that we have Stutz, Hatch, Murry, Blair, Durley, Kyles, Hannah and Ellis. Some nights you don't have your best game and some nights you do. Murry can be bad and we still can win (something you couldn't say last year). Durley can stink, and we still can win (something you couldn't say last year).

2)Stutz, thoughts?

3)The defense, all night, was very good. SIU is TALENTED but I think it's becoming more and more obvious, poorly coached.

4)The defensive stop at the end was dynamite.....Dillard had an impossible shot and sure he could have made it, but it wasn't all that close and it was all but impossible. Everything else was taken away. Great, great stop.

5)Hatch is so glue. If you don't understand basketball, you don't realize how much Hatch and Ellis mean to this team.

6)Teague and Charmicheal from ISU are going to be beasts for awhile.

7)In the grand scheme of things, this replaces Drake.

8)We have proven we can play crappy and win, on the road. That's a good thing.

9)Thoroughly enjoying the win, happy to admit I was wrong.

10)Bring on UNI.

2) Another one of those "Rasputin" games for Stutz. Suellentrop is not dismissing the idea of him redshirting next year in the "Ask Paul" area of the Eagle.

3) Yes. Their string of internal hires has finally hit a snag. Good players all around.

7) It replaces that cat poop taste in my mouth, but only barely.

9) I was also wrong about the game in prediction. Hopefully I go 1-2 when MTXE lays off the new threads until midweek.

I hope some of the Shocker referees can explain the calls to me.

The play went like this as follows:

1. SIU offensive player receives a pass.
2. Defensive player Garrett stands still and hold arms straight up.
3. Offensive player shoots ball and leans into Garrett.
4. Foul called on Garrett.

I just hate this kind of call. Garrett has been the victim of this kind of call all season.

I'm not a referee, but I did sit in my WSU folding chair last night.

I believe that this is just a standard call in the MVC.
