Well since the love fest is back on... I thought Id at least eat a little crow..this post was pretty far off the mark....very little focus from the team as a whole...and not very consistent......Just enough tonight. Its why I typically stay away from the prediction threads ... I dont like throwing out any bad mojo..or to much koolaid

The last two fouls called on Garrett were unjustified in my view.

I hope some of the Shocker referees can explain the calls to me.

The play went like this as follows:

1. SIU offensive player receives a pass.
2. Defensive player Garrett stands still and hold arms straight up.
3. Offensive player shoots ball and leans into Garrett.
4. Foul called on Garrett.

I just hate this kind of call. Garrett has been the victim of this kind of call all season.

I'm no official, but it may have something to do with positioning? I wasn't thrilled with the calls either, but they didn't surprise me.

Ball security was really an issue, also stupid, soft, lazy passes. JT, TM, and DK. Not a stellar night for any of them. Cleeeevun Hannah had a case of the Randy "drive into the trees" Burns, syndrome.

The replay on either the third or fourth foul showed Garret slapping Teague's arm at the last minute. If he had not done that, there would have been no foul call. Having said that, it was pretty tacky compared to many of the no-calls (for both sides) throughout the night. Especially when Garrett was hammered one time and didn't get a call.

This was the most favorably ref'd road game we've had since 2006. We mugged the crap out of them in the first half (they got away with a lot too, we just exploited it more). The second half was very even, I thought.

Yeah I just checked. David Hall was a ref for both the Creighton game in Omaha and this one tonight.

I agree RDR..it is a very frustrating call.....if you cup your hands down even they seem to call it on Garrett no matter what though... Did Garret come back in after his 4th foul or not

That was foul #3 where Garrett brought his left arm down over a rising Teague. Good call. Foul #4 baffled me as Garrett simply got beat and I don't recall him doing anything foul worthy. That was the spin move that went to the baseline. Not sure what the official saw there.

I'm not a referee, but I did sit in my WSU folding chair last night.

I believe that this is just a standard call in the MVC.
