The last two fouls called on Garrett were unjustified in my view.

I hope some of the Shocker referees can explain the calls to me.

The play went like this as follows:

1. SIU offensive player receives a pass.
2. Defensive player Garrett stands still and hold arms straight up.
3. Offensive player shoots ball and leans into Garrett.
4. Foul called on Garrett.

I just hate this kind of call. Garrett has been the victim of this kind of call all season.

Everyone here knows that I hate the refs as much as anyone but I have to correct you here

Stutz's arms were not straight up. Had they been STRAIGHT up, the SIU player couldn't have pulled what he pulled. Simple as that.

What was up with Durley tonight? His stop and go defense is very irritating.

He did not have a good game overall, neither did Toure, or Kyles, and I have seen Blair have better games.

BTW, that arena (does it deserve that term) looked like a big High School gym.

What a great day of basketball!! I started it off at Mckale watching UA beat Cal to get into first place in the PAC, then I get to watch the Shocks on tv get a really big road win at a place they hadn't won at in 11 games.

You can what you want about it being ugly and there were stretchs where several of the players went brain dead, but any win on the road in the Valley is a big win. I'll take any win on the road.

I remember last year when so many were questioning Hatch. Living out west I've watched a lot of LDS players over the years. I tried telling some that you can't judge them on their first year back after not playing for 2 years. I said you'd have to wait till this year to see what he had.

His arms were not straight up.

Agree, RS. GS would not have gotten the foul if his arms were straight up in the air. His arms were out & up, and contacted the SIU player, a foul in any game. Otherwise, GS played a pretty good game, even if he out stood his opponent by 3-5 inches. I was glad to see him finally be more aggressive towards the bucket on offense.
