    • He reached around with his right hand. It was very questionable I agree.

      • Shockers looked like vomit I could not watch.
First a Baseball fan then a Volleyball fan and then I guess I follow the basketball team.

        • The call on TM at the end, the 5th foul, they said was a hook. I doubt it, but couldn't see either.

Every fan base has that type of "classy" fan, some more than others. They think they are being so cool but are really just jerks (and yes, we have them too). Just ignore the children you heard in the background and Mom and Dad will eventually catch up with them to take them home.

            • Very disappoining effort by the Shocks. Practice will not be and should not be fun until these guys decide to bring the lunch pails.

              • FSF has had root canals that were less miserable than this road game loss. Yes, we caught a team that has been hot of late. However, we seemed to be our own worst enemy. Drake seem more focused and more hungry to win than us? Why? We fouled way too much, committed way too many turnovers, and our field goal % was awful. Actually, FSF would have had a technical foul called on me long before Marshall did. Even so, we did not appear to be concentrating on what has made us successful thus far. Hannah was our main bright spot today.

There has also been a pattern with 3 of our Valley road losses that concerns me. Creighton, Illinois State, and now Drake seemed to take away much of our inside game during these road losses. JT did okay but Stutz, Gabe, and Ellis seem to contribute much more at home. If you live by the 3's, you can also pay the piper on an off day. We have GOT to establish our inside game not just at at home, but also on the road. Well, the Redbirds are coming to 21st and Hillside and these flood-gates need to be shored up now!!!!!!!

                • No way that happened.

I'm sure I'll awaken shortly and realize this was a case of someone slipping me a quart of antifreeze or something last night.

                  • Damn these afternoon games. When was the last time we played good in one?

I am not a very pleasant individual to be around right now and I wasn't very cordial during whatever that was that was done a few hours ago...I guess it was called a basketball game.

                        • Wow

Very disappointing effort, or lack thereof.

The good news, such as it is, is that by the end of the season this is not likely to look like as bad a loss as it appears right now. Drake has figured it out, and they way they're playing now, they have as good a chance as anyone, except possibly IllSt, to finish third behind UNI and WSU -- and who would have thought that a month ago? I could easily see them finishing 11-7 in the MVC and being the team no one wants to meet in St. Louis.

Meanwhile, as others have said, WSU really, really needs to get the inside guys to assert themselves. No point in having size and athleticism if they don't use it.

Absolutely, Prez. The last thing WSU needs is a starting time before sundown. Not sure why, but it's been that way for a while, and it's a good thing their conference champs figured out how to play during the day, or else that run to the round of 16 would never have happened.

Not to be an ass (ok, maybe I'm being an ass but it's not directed at you per se) but Drake sucks. I don't care if they've "figured it out". They aren't going to beat anybody, and the way we laid down today we are nobody. They are a losing team, with a losing record. They've never been any good, they're not going to be good anytime soon and it is a 2 bit program that only knows how to lose and couldn't win a game against a big time program if the programs life depended on it.

They shot the ball out of their collective asses today. Congrats. They played against a bunch of kids that were way too full of themselves on a day where no effort combined with nothing going right for WSU ended with a joke of a finish. Again, nothing against Drake, but they suck and they whipped our ass.

                              • The Good Doc. just described the same symptoms that FSF is suffering through. I found myself screaming at the tube and almost grounded myself from SN for a "cooling off" period. Instead here I am venting, trying to regain my composure and look at the big picture. Overall, we have won more games than most of us prognosticated early on. However, we have GOT to learn to win these type of games on the road and we are all frustrated right now.

Here's the deal. Coach Marshall will watch this game and "huddle up" with our beloved Shocks. During the post-game show, HCGM wanted to come right home and practice NOW. He did not want to even wait until tomorrow's scheduled practice. The Shocks were 'asleep at the wheel' today and tomorrow is going to be a rude awakening to 'right this Shocker Ship,' baby!!!!!!!
