HCGM was pissed at Dan Chrisman and justifiably so.
He had as bad a game as WSU played.
That was the most painful game I've had to watch in years.
And... I had it DVR'd and it was still painful - even though I used fast forward most of the game.
Chrisman really needs to go with Tim Higgins to the rest home. The game is much too fast for them. 8)Above all, make the right call.

Going into this season, I think everyone believed we would be NIT bound - if we get really lucky - NCAA. It isn't over yet, and what we are looking for is improvement. NCAA we be great this season, especially since Clevin will not be back next season.
He deserves it for trying to carry the team like he does.
Sure they are, but my golly geez wiz, I don't think that was the point. OK state, not even ranked in the top 20, beat the #9 team on the #9 team's home court - that is still an upset, and upsets do happen.

On a side note, can anyone tell me what was going on just after the game ended? I heard what sounded like another game....horn etc
Enquiring minds want to know.

The high-low has worked for decades, and why it isn't run more often I don't know. They seem to like it at that college in Lawrence."Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should accomplish with your ability."

Wow
Goodness, Doc -- I know you said you were in a bad mood, but to call your over-the-top post about Drake basketball cranky is like saying that Lindsay Lohan is a train wreck, or that Obama is a big spender. Did Willie McCarter push you out of the way back in the day, or did you have a bad experience in Des Moines at some point?
Obviously Drake's recent history has not been illustrious except for one year (although that's like saying that WSU's history between Fogler and Turgeon's third year was nondescript), and it's been a long time since Drake was the last current MVC member to reach the final four (yep, look it up).
But they were conference champs just two years ago, playing much the same weird, disruptive style they seem to have rediscovered, and with some of the same players they still have. They're hotter than a firecracker right now, and WSU actually fared a little better against them than Illinois State or MSU did. So it wasn't just that the Shocks were bad, although they were; and it wasn't just that Drake shot well, which they did and have been doing lately. As I said before, if they keep playing like this -- and there's no particular reason to doubt that they can -- Drake will be an upper division team by year end, with a far more respectable RPI than they now have, and an opponent that you'll want to see in the opposite bracket in St. Louis. Try giving a little credit where it's due.

The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

The people in the bar where I was watching certainly thought I had tourette's considering the number of times expletives came out of my mouth when Drake ran it.

this may have been posted already..but does anyone think that not having shoot around in the morning could have caused our boys to think they could just come in and walk over this team?? I heard MK say before the game that Coach chose not to do shoot around because in order to get into the Drake gym --they would have had to shoot around at 5:30am. It was obvious that this team needed shoot around----if you didn't want to do it at 5:30am (which is pretty pitiful of DU to allow us that only time), find a gym.
To me...this gave the sign to our boys that you're good enough that you dont need shoot around.

Drake played a good game. They've done that a few times lately. We played not so well for the second straight time on the road. I don't think it's a matter of needing a shoot around or more time outs. Perhaps another player or two. We are doing better than almost all expected. In the fast lane
