  • Shocker Fitness report

The team was tested in the mile run today. Compared to a month ago, the players shaved a combined total of about 12 minutes off their times. The best time was just under 5 minutes, the slowest was about 6 and 1/2 minutes. You can probably guess who had each of those times. Only two players ran the mile in over 6 minutes. Just thought everyone would want to know the workouts are paying off in conditioning and hopefully in physical and mental toughness.

Those are some pretty darn good times! It is really encouraging that all of the bigs are apparantly getting in really good shape.

yea the slowest time being 6 and a half minutes is pretty darn impressive. and having someone under 5 minutes is unbelievable. these guys are great athletes.

If this is indeed true then I'd say we can put the Durley conditioning concerns to rest. 6.5 minute mile for a widebody is quite impressive.

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

My guesses: Cooz hit the under-5 mark and Durley hit the 6-1/2 minute mark.

6-1/2 minutes is an awesome time for someone who's not a track athlete.

Shox are going to be in condition to run the court and there will probably be less subs for fresh legs.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

To all those who don't know, Lance Harris has the most endurance of any player on the team. He had the most last year as well.

6.5 is weak! My grandma can do a mile in 6.5! If they aren't getting sub 4 minute mile times, then this team and us fans are going to be in for a world of hurt!
