KSU's uniforms have to qualify for one of the ugliest in college basketball.
I'm not able to see the game, but with the masculine color of purple as the university's primary color, everything associated with them is ugly.
No, these were ulgier than you might imagine. On my TV it looked like they had purple tops (very boring graphics/font) and BLUE shorts. I know that they were just another shade of purple, but either way to have 2 unmatching shades of purple on the uniform was a really stupid decision. Hopefully for them they have other options...

Wow, that does sound hideous.
Well, what can you say. Junior high uni's for a junior high team.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Unfortunately, unless the group has had a fill of magic beans, it takes a while for a group of newbies (yes, even D-1 newbies) to gel and get accustomed to things. Asking for a 15 point win right out the window pretty much makes me assume you're gonna be a disappointed fan this year.
60Shock reply: And there you go completely ignoring the fact that we are playing another group of non-D-1 newbies who also have not had time to get accustomed to each other. Your definition of a disappointed fan undoubtedly differs from mine. Based on the Shockers basketball history, our fan base and their terrific support, I do not believe I am alone when I say I am disappointed every time we lose a game; every year we do not win at least 20 games; when we do not win the Valley, the MVC tournament, and, yeah, even the blasted NCAA National Championship. But Shocker basketball is always exciting no matter what we do or where we end up. I support all our players and coaches. I do not give up on them and constantly bad mouth players like you have done in the past. We have had some great and not so great seasons. And while I am somewhat disappointed when we lose or do not significantly outscore a much weaker team, I am happy with any win we get. If you are happy with mediocrity, be my guest.

ShockFever wrote: We probably should beat this team by double-digits. UCLA probably should have beat Miami (OH) by double-digits last night, but only won by 5. UCLA's season is in trouble now.
60Shock reply: Surprised you could only find only one example. And I’ll just bet the UCLA coach is very happy about his 5 point win.

ShockFever wrote: That's because Florida has a lot of schools. What's your point again?
60Shock wrote: Should have been obvious even to you. A&M is at or near the bottom ring of four year colleges in Florida.
60Shock wrote: If you believe that not being able to outclass schools like Emporia State and Florida A&M on your home court by 15 or more points, isn't significant, and believe we are going to win 15-20 games this year, think again.
ShockFever wrote: Who said anything about winning 20 games? Hell, I'm not even sold on 15 wins. Remember, we are being picked 9th for a reason. Now, that doesn't mean we have to settle for 9th by all means, but to significantly set yourself up with such lofty goals, well, means you're gonna be a very sad man for the next few months.
60Shock reply: How can you consider beating an even more inexperienced team than we are who is in a significantly weaker conference by 15 points a lofty goal? As far as being a very sad man, your understanding of human behavior leaves a lot to be desired. Are you a psychiatrist or a lawyer?

What is this, the ShockerNet version of "Waiting for Godot"?
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'”
