Based on the Shockers basketball history, our fan base and their terrific support, I do not believe I am alone when I say I am disappointed every time we lose a game; every year we do not win at least 20 games; when we do not win the Valley, the MVC tournament, and, yeah, even the blasted NCAA National Championship. But Shocker basketball is always exciting no matter what we do or where we end up. I support all our players and coaches. I do not give up on them and constantly bad mouth players like you have done in the past. We have had some great and not so great seasons. And while I am somewhat disappointed when we lose or do not significantly outscore a much weaker team, I am happy with any win we get. If you are happy with mediocrity, be my guest.

60Shock reply: How can you consider beating an even more inexperienced team than we are who is in a significantly weaker conference by 15 points a lofty goal? As far as being a very sad man, your understanding of human behavior leaves a lot to be desired. Are you a psychiatrist or a lawyer?

Kudos for taking the time to organize that entire post like you did and to make it somewhat seem like you're not having a conversation with yourself.

In summary, it's the first game of the season. I think that is a key point that you're immensely overestimating. Have you seen this team play yet? Have you seen them gel yet? Have you seen them execute perfectly yet? I think you still have some 2006 stuff still floating around in your head - which, of course, is fine. But to still use those past seasons to try and compare what this year can, could, and should be like is not wise. And that leads me to believe you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

Perhaps you forgot what kind of season we're coming off of..

I hope that we win by 15 but I don't take anything for granted. Florida A&M is a DI team and I still remember when Hampton beat us and they aren't the only low major to hang one on us in the past. If we don't play as well as we hope, I won't give up on the rest of the season.

Honestly, I don't recall them saying today. For the ESU game they commented on both GA and regular seating (I've gone braindead). Today they just mentioned limited tix available.
