Brings back memories of a former Shocker tormentor who played for Tulsa. Mr. Paul Pressey who was 6'5" tall, but who seemed to take up half the width of the court with his quickness and wingspan at the point of that half court press Tulsa would use.

He said the kid has a 6'11" wingspan and will really change the way we trap and guard the perimeter. Said this will cure our deficiences of our point guards not being fast or tall enough. Hannah was really complimentary of Toure in the postgame said he's a real playmaker.
It's only one game - just wait until our new guys get the game figured out and our team gets some chemistry going. I have a feeling this is a fast learning group.Did anyone catch coaches comments about KJ in the postgame? Ten assists for a freshmen PG just has to get you EXCITED for the Shocks. Keep him surounded by some talent and you got to LOVE the Shocks future over the next four years!!!
By the way I had the point spread right but had the score 6 points higher than the actual. The discussion on winning by fifteen or not was a bit conservative IMO. The Shock''s impressed me more than most by their start against ESU. Our substitution pattern in that game kept things closer than it could of been. IMO we could become better than many thought. I understand remaining cautiously optimistic, but we just could become pretty darn good.In the fast lane

This one's for 60shock so he doesn't have a heart attack.
After the Shockers' 24 point win today, my poor old Achy Breaky heart is fluttering so out of control that I that I am contemplating predicting that unless we beat Georgetown by at least 15 points, it's going to be a long, long season. But I just may sleep on this one for a week or so.

That's good that you should sleep on this one for a week, because the G-Town game is over a week and a half away. I'll focus on UMKC, a team tied with KU at the half currently in Lawrence.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Just some stuff as follows:
1. Garrett was way more comfortable in this game, when compared to last game.
2. Murry had the pass of the game to Garrett at the north end.
3. When Hawkins decides to take it to the rack, either get out of the way or get run over. His drives have so damn much power to them. I am not sure, which past Shocker compares.
4. I am not sure how many turnovers we had against the Snake press, but it wasn't very many. I remember the early years, under our last coach, and our success against the press was not pretty.
5. Hatch! Who wouda thought?
6. It will be interesting to learn the number of minutes that Kyles gets in the next game. When he came into the game, I read his body language as being less than enthusiastic.
